This section of the boards is fairly new, there wasn't anywhere to post about punishments before. That is why it seems like all of a sudden tons of people are getting punished. There are just as many, its just now they have somewhere to put it.

I don't think that's the reason for the increase in ban threads.
I think it's because more people are getting banned.
Before the 4-step punishment system, toxic players could rack up hundreds or thousands of chat restrictions and they'd just not change. Now they get a max of 35 chat restrictions, then they move to a ban. The people who normally would have kept stacking chat restrictions are now receiving bans.
I think it's a good thing that people have a place to talk about bans and behavioral systems. I lobbied a long time and with great volume for the return of the TBI.
