I use overwolf, and I'm pretty sure it was okay'd, but I just want to be sure.
Aside from that, wouldn't it be good to have an updated whitelist the community can follow so there's no excuse for accidentally using unauthorized 3rd party applications?
Deep Terror Nami4 votesThere is no whitelist because it couldn't possibly cover every available application, and it can change at any time due to the developers changing something or it becoming compromised and Riot can't constantly monitor and approve them.

Fluffertons Fury2 votesWell the only thing I use is Curse. Pretty positive it was endorsed by Riot. Also all my friends use Curse. None of them have been banned. I honestly, don't use anything else. Pretty sure it's a glitch and I sincerely hope that riot is working to rectify the issue. Had a ticket in since yesterday, haven't heard a peep from them. No counter play?
Mard1 votesI am in the exact same boat, they seriously need to at least acknowledge that something went wrong, Curse is supposed to be allowed.
DrCyanide1 votesIt's not Curse (as you guessed by your friends not being banned). Riot actually has Curse installed on a lot of the computers at their office, so if it was just Curse there'd be a lot of Rioters banned as well.
The big thing is to find out what's different with your account than your friends that didn't get banned. Some people have their accounts compromised without them knowing (happened to a friend of mine recently) and those hackers can be the ones using the scripts. A few of the people I've talked to who were banned had macros on their computers that they used with other games, which might be a cause too.
One thing you know for certain though, it's not common software (voice chat, recording, streaming software, etc) that got you banned.
Fluffertons Fury1 votesI don't have anything else, steam and a few other games (no mods on any of them). I play on my account daily, it hasn't been compromised. I'm at a loss for what could have triggered this other than something dumb like Avira, my corsair utilities (keyboard with custom lighting, no macros, and my mouse also with custom lighting and a few buttons hotkeyed) , my isp doing something strange, or perhaps a piece of malware I picked up somewhere. My computer seems pretty clean of malware/viruses and I have pretty standard software.

Also, voice chat isn't cheating. Riot has stated this.
