Can people see what I type if I mute all?

I probably use chat way more than I should to vent my frustrations with my teammates, but would actually like to use it this way.

I'd like to know if the /mute all function prevents your teammates from reading your chat messages as well.

In the mean time I'll work on my own attitude and gameplay.
