Champion Select

Scenario: I queue up for a blind pick normals to have a fun quick game. I get into champion select, and I call mid, someone else calls adc, and someone calls top. 2 people then call mid. I say "I called first" and both of them instalock for mid. Neither are willing to change to another role.

So regularly I would just change to support or something and deal with it, but 2 people instalocked here, and neither wanted to change. Either I dodge or I play through the entire game and waste 40 minutes of my time doing something not enjoyable so that I can file a report at the end of the game that most likely won't amount to anything. The dodge gets me punished and if I do it enough puts me on the low priority queue.

This happens to me 1 in 10 games, and most of the time I play through it but I'm getting sick and tired of this. People say "Play draft pick" and "Play ranked" and before s6 "Play team builder", but what if I want to simply play a fun, anything can happen game and not be super competitive, without a lengthy champion select which limits the fun because of bans, counterpicks, etc.? I think riot should include a function where if 3 or more people agree (To a poll similar to the surrender poll), a player can be kicked from the champion select lobby and replaced with another player in the blind pick queue.

Fortunately, dodging only takes away 5 minutes of your life. I'd just do that.

I've personally had a weirdly high rate of people auto-locking despite my lane calls recently, which is especially odd since I typically call Support. It's frustrating that it isn't an easily punishable offense, but I've just moved on from each instance.
