I can't trust myself to not be rude to people being rude to me or doing dumb shit, but I would still like the option of generic responses like "Yes", "No" or other custom ones you think you may need.

im honestly under the belief that if riot doesnt want people being negative in chat. they should either limit it to premade phrases like disneys toontown, or eliminate chat altogether

We already have a very powerful ping system and players who actually need communication (like in ranked) already do it through skype, discord or another voice chat program. Removing chat altogether IMO is a great idea. Doesn't favor either team either since both lose the chat and people who skype would do it chat or not so they already have that advantage.
