I have more hope for the community after the GG EZ threads.

I made a post on this a while back on how it's extremely disrespectful and got a lot of negative feedback, but after reading some of the posts I'm starting to gain faith again. Keep up the good work summoners!

GG EZ is a bannable offense because it's considered unsportsmanlike, and just a PSA shit like that is banned in real life competitions too. People get kicked out of games for this, in fact you people should be grateful they give you multiple warnings and then ONLY a 2 week ban and if you somehow ignore the warnings and continue this awful behavior you get permanently banned, but can still play on another account.

What teams are people getting kicked off of?

Saying Good Game Easy isn't Un-Sport-Man-Like at all. I don't see any verbal abuse in that. That fact is that some players does not accept or admit they have lost their game in a hard way. Many players does not accept the fact that they were very bad at this game. Many players think that when someone say, he suck or he or she is bad think that this mean they are really bad in all games which is not true.

Just ignore it or improves yourself if you really to. Because this kind of words will always hurt you and make you mad. That's all I know about it.

I think you have less faith in the community as a whole than I do, but more faith in people's ability to understand a coherent argument and alter t heir behavior consequently.

I think the majority of people already agree with you that GG EZ is unsportsmanlike, but the people who disagree will make excuses until the cows come home. (Witness example c9 phaze)

It really only seems like the toxic people in general think it's should be ok to say. Of the people I've seen for this game it's usually a general consesus that GGEZ is disrespectful because of the intention of the word. You say it to basically say the match was always in their favor. You say it to bad mouth your opponent without actually needing to write a lot to get that out. A lot of people don't think of it as disrespectful possibly because they never played any type of sport that shown any type of real sportsmanship!

It's my philosophy that GGEZ is one of those things that's pretty minor in most situations. It's typically said at the end of the game, and only said once. The game has ended and it's not required you stick around to deal with their shit (sort of like the boards).

Yes, it's disrespectful and unsportsmanlike, but so is using your character's taunt after you kill someone.

Now, this doesn't mean that it can't be used in ways that is even more disrespectful. Using before the game has come close to being over or spamming it crosses the line in my book.

Riot does still ban for this and I agree with the way they handle such situations. It's a combination of frequency and severity that land you punishments. Extremely poor behavior? You don't need as many games before the system sends out something. Minor poor behavior? If you are consistently showing poor sportsmanship, you'll get sent the next tier of ban as well.

"GGEZ" is just another thing that sends you closer to a behavioral scan. But I would be very surprised if I saw someone banned for saying "GGEZ" once at the end of the game every so often.
