Why isn't trolling in ranked being cracked down on?

It's really out of hand. Virtually every game, especially around Diamond V, has someone who will begin trolling at the drop of a hat.

'If you don't give me second blue, I'm going to troll' 'If you don't gank for me right now, I'm going to troll' 'If you take a single CS from my lane, I'm going to troll' 'If you don't leave my lane, I'm going to troll' And they always follow through with it.

This isn't okay behavior in the competitive game mode. The fact that so many people have been consistently behaving this way for the past ~2 years says a lot about how rarely it gets punished.

your right its really tiring that every game I have to report someone and yet I feel like its not doing anything cause if what they were doing was considered a serious thing and had harsh punishment that well ppl wouldn't wanna do it cause they don't wanna get banned, lose rank, or aleast make it so they they aren't allowed in ranked or something

This is League of Legends. According to Riot, it's what we signed up for.

Riot needs to do something about the "Griefing" Jungle players I am really tired of them Intentionally throwing my games, and refusing to stop...

I just had a ADC/Support bottom both playing ADC's I know its bronze I didn't care I go off meta mid, our Jungle who could have actually ganked and helped early game did not come in when the enemy was 1 hit out of range / trade, instead they wait until level 5, then Run into the lane when I am about to hit level 6 and get ahead, refuse to commit to the fight they started, and put the enemy team ahead then stay in lane 5+ seconds taking XP / CS... (Not Taxing) they did nothing to help the best thing they could have done was stay out of lane instead of grief...

A griefer is a player in a multiplayer video game who deliberately irritates and harasses other players within the game, often using aspects of the game in unintended ways.[1] A griefer derives pleasure primarily or exclusively from the act of annoying other users, and as such is a particular nuisance in online gaming communities, since griefers often cannot be deterred by penalties related to in-game goals.

The definition of "Griefer" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Griefer ** . Faking extreme incompetence with the intent of hurting teammates or failing an in-game objective.** . Kill stealing, denying another player the pleasure or gain of killing a target that should have been theirs. .Smurfing - playing in much lower skill ranks than is appropriate. . Actions undertaken to waste other players' time. For example, when losing in a turn-based game, a player may play as slowly as possible. In other games, they may hide from an enemy when there is no tactical benefit in doing so.

What they did was unwanted, and many times players refuse to stop doing it... (Should be reportable, and actionable...)

I think most of the trolling that goes on is hard to distinguish from genuinely bad performance.

And besides a person blatantly saying in chat "I'm going to troll" -- how are they going to create metrics to determine if a person is trolling or just having a bad game. There are really obvious cases, but most I believe fall into a grey area.

What if Riot did decide to crack down on trolling, and through their automated system you were punished wrongly for having a bad game? Would that be okay?

Leauge of legends? Cracked down on? You must be new here.
