worst i did was ask for reports. and this was like 10 games ago

this was also several games prior to game 3. and i was forced to unmute cait because she was pinging nonstop

Well, see, cursing.... And even if not directed at anyone really, you still said some stuff you know you shouldnt have. The chat ban is the warning.... Its just a more direct warning. Clean up the chat or things could get worse.

a warning should be exactly that a warning. the problem is people dont know theyre breaking the rules until its already too late. riot needs to either have a CLEAR line of what is and isnt okay to say in chat. or give people more warnings before actually punishing

A warning itself is a punishment wouldnt you say? The whole point of a punishment in this case of the game is that you cannot play the game, you still can as you are just chat restricted.

i lose loot access, im escalated up the punishment ladder, and future reports against me now will carry greater weight. this is the part thats unfair. not the chat ban, a simple "hey you're being toxic" would have been more then sufficient. this is overkill, especially for 3 games that happened within about 2 weeks of each other. how am i supposed to drop tiers when 1 bad game results in a punishment

You shouldnt need a 'warning' to not be a dick. Riot has clear rules on what you can and cant do. Break the rules and you recieve a slap on the wrist.

Where are these "clear rules" the summoners code shows examples of positive behavior. But negative behavior is subjective. And at what point is it bannable.

Not that confusing, but if you still don't understand, you should probably find another game.

Riot games is the ONLY game that takes chat this seriously. And i feel like they are forcing their beliefs on me. I don't believe i was out of line. And in the real world. "Enjoy having the cops called on you" is a perfectly acceptable response if someone is harassing you

But Riot shouldn't care if you don't believe you were out of line. It's THEIR game, with THEIR rules and if you don't want to abide by them then leave. This is not the real world. This is a game, and in a game certain rules apply that doesn't apply in real-life, if you make your own MOBA, you can make your own rules, and make players abide by them.

a chat restriction, while minor is still a "punishment" the punishment isnt the chat restriction itself but all the retroactive shit that goes with it. plus the fact that future reports are weighed more heavily against you

Reports don't have weight, they only trigger a game to be reviewed You are just now starting higher on the ladder :D of "punishments", myself am on the ladder.

If you're asking how many you're not suppose to offended the answer is 100% of people. There is no reason to be a dick in the league.

It is impossible to not offend 100% of people. Even if all you say i chat is "good job" "drag spawning " ect. SOMEONE will be offended

The sad part. It was someone like him who reported me. I've said it before. The inmates are running the asylum. The people doing the reporting arent the positive players. Its mostly trolls reporting people who get frustrated

There is quite a few from trolls etc... But the trick is, if you dont do anything wrong, it gets thrown out. Id assume theres a big trash can but who knows.

There is ALWAYS something in your chat log that can justify a report. The secret. The trolls tend to target certain types of players. There is no such thing as a false report for chat unless you flat out dont type

Then explain to me why..... After like 4+ or so years of playing league..... My last punishment that wasnt because of me leaving a game (which does not happen really at all)..... Was about 3 years ago and was a simple chat restriction.

Simple. The trolls arent targeting you. Im guessing you're a "fun" player meaning you don't care about your rank. The trolls tend to focus on players who are actually trying to play competitively

You are looking for reasons that are not there. As i will suggest again, just do not give them something to get in trouble for.

however i can tell by your match history you play mostly normals. with the occasional ranked game thrown in. this in itself will get you targeted by trolls considerably less then people who play primarily ranked, and by "targeted" i mean that they arent just trolling you. but trying to get you banned. which honestly has become the new norm. riot SERIOUSLY needs to crack down on ban baiting and provoking. if i cant react without getting in trouble. i need 100% certainty that the other guy is going to be punished. not " he might be punished if he continues doing it" i need to know without a doubt that the person i reported got punished. then i might be less inclined to react

Again... Do not give a reason to be in trouble. Do not give trolls satisfaction.

You literally just said you did exactly what they wanted you to do. Ive seen this on Runescape, ive seen it in League, ive seen it in many different games. People feed the trolls. Dont feed the troll and they starve.

Mute them. Turn down ping volume. Perhaps you need to figure out why the main character says "you have no power over me" to the Goblin King in Labyrinth. It would save you issues in the future.

Btw, you do not always get a message when someone who you report is punished. Do not expect one. They often times are punished but then everyone gets all up in arms saying "OMG I DIDNT GET A MESSAGE SO THAT MEANS NOTHING HAPPENED TO THEM AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH IM GONNA GO ONTO THE FORUMS AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THEM, AND SO ALL THE TROLLS GET TO HAVE A GOOD LAUGH AND BE FED MORE!"......... Sounds silly when saying the results only right? This is literally what i have seen at least once every time i look at the forums.

Honestly? You just spend too much time typing. Don't type, ever. Like, absolutely never, unless it's 1-2 lines of friendly banter or a warning of something like you got blown the hell up. It's unnecessary. It takes time that you should be taking to focus on the game and how to win. Instead of typing look at minimap, go drop a ward or something.

Most games i type 0 (good games) to 5 times (bad games, warning people/asking for team to go dragon).

ive already uninstalled my game. and gave my cousin my league password so he can prevent me from logging in. im going to take a break from league. hopefully he doesnt decide to play on my account
