just because you can't get banned for it. doesnt make it okay. this is by far one of the most aggrevating forms of trolling, simply because there is NOTHING anyone can do about it. plus, due to the fact you don't know who's doing it. it causes friction among your teamamtes "ok guys who fucking voted no"
I find its very common for people to ff a normal game at 20 mins even if its reasonably close. There is no reason to try to come back in a normal game, it is meaningless.
In a ranked game it is very common for people to vote no. Everyone has been in a game where they had no right winning and somehow pulled out a miracle victory, so why not hope it can happen again. The worst case scenario is you lose anyway.
People complain you are "wasting their time" but they chose to queue up and knew what they were getting themselves into. I have no sympathy for people who feel this way. The system requires a 4-1 majority to pass a vote. If you don't get this majority then keep playing, end of story. I have you on mute anyway so complain all you like.

L2play the game and the need to surrender goes bye-bye which is why I think RIOT should take it out of the game so those players who are too F'in lazy to improve can't use it as an F'in crutch anymore. It is abused for this reason at low elo. Nothing more and nothing less. You waste my time by ignorance and laziness and I will waste your time because unlike you I will learn something by finishing the game.
I agree. It's understandable to vote "no" on a reasonably winnable game, but if you stand no chance whatsoever of winning, just vote "yes" and end the torture for everyone else. People putting up the /ff obviously think the game is over, so chances are they won't even be trying anymore. That hurts your chances of winning even more. Some people need to just learn when to hang it up.
I have a couple friends that outright refuse to surrender games. No matter how much of a loss it is, they just refuse. I hate playing with them sometimes for that very reason. I'd rather just surrender an awful game and start on a fresh one, but they'd rather continue to get dumped on until the nexus blows up. I just can't see the logic behind it.
If someone is flaming me, or being a general dick to the team, and then they try to launch a surrender vote, I always vote no. I will make them suffer if they think that it's ok for them to be raging assholes and then dip out of the game.

Most times the game can still be won, people throw all the time. Just because you believe it can't be won doesn't mean it can't, and just because someone disagrees with your opinion doesn't mean they're a troll.
I figure a surrender vote is just a straw poll. Best that it's anonymous, so no one can be attacked for how they vote. If it fails then you keep playing your hardest, maybe ask what people think they should do to win, but you keep playing.
It's really annoying when the same person spams surrender votes every time they can. That's the person who's just given up and isn't trying anymore.
But you need a 4-1 vote min to surrender, so clearly more than one person thinks the game is still winnable if the vote fails. Maybe instead of surrendering so much you should look at how the game could be won? I see more surrender votes at 20-25 minutes when most of the towers are still up and the game is pretty even than when the inhibs are down and super minions are pouring into base.
