Toxicity in silver is getting so out of hand that its happening every single game

I'm somewhat of a casual player who does rank every so often until maybe 3 weeks ago. I honestly can't remember it being this bad, it's been happening almost every game now. The team starts to lose, everyone tries to pin the blame on someone else, every game, even the other team in fights with eachother in /all chat. Its just non-stop blaming and in fighting with eachother, and the fact that its happening almost every game is honestly getting ridiculous (with me being a jungler main, i get the brunt of it alot of the time). I'm not saying i'm completely above it, i'm probably going to respond back defending myself or begging someone to stop fighting and focus.

On that note, i have to ask other silver player, do you feel vindicated when you call out someone else for doing poorly when you yourself have done just as poorly in matches before? everytime i see this type of person, all i can think is that they are just a hypocrite, cause when i go to their match history after, i see games where they've done just as bad.

I'm honestly so burnt out right now that im starting to wonder why i'm playing league, winning a hard game doesn't fill me with sense of accomplishment, just pent up aggravation on how people can be this shit and losing feels worse, especially when your see the other team (or rather the person whose 2/10) gloat about winning. I've played rank quite a bit in the prior seasons but by far this is the worst ive ever seen it

I think silver is far worse than bronze as far as player skill, competitive level, and above all toxicity. I got to silver the first time after about 3 months of playing ranked. I've dropped and come back up about 6 times now and from what I've seen silver is so much worse. In bronze you get bad players because they are new but in silver you get bad players that are just never gonna learn. I can't tell you how many toxic games I've played where someone gets mad because you didn't "focus the adc." But the adc was behind the front-line so they just keep getting destroyed trying to cross over that positioning and then blame the people one the team (usually me) for not dying with them and I have to try to somehow win 1v3 after they go chase and die like that. But omg omg focus the adc! Don't worry about positioning, mana, cooldowns, other enemy champions, etc just focus the adc because its the easiest thing for them to cry and blame about if you don't die with them making that dive!

I've gotten junglers who refuse to gank a lane that needs one because they failed to follow up ONE TIME, inters, plenty of afks, etc. Ranked is nearly impossible this season.[zombie-nunu-bummed]

I feel what you are saying as a jg. Everyone does love to say "we got no ganks"after they get blown out in lane. As a adc/mid/supp player though, I often see a jg who is maybe 6-4 having a strong game, but doesn't realize his 4 deaths are actually feeding even though he got kills. Now I'm down bot lane a vulnerable adc having a good start say 2-0, but the other team sees me getting strong and comes down and dives me in my tower with the 4-3 jg of their own who is now nice and strong now because you fed them. Then the toxicity blame game starts as you aptly describe, and everyone just defaults to kda. I started out perfect farm and 2-0, but now the jg who fed is the only one strong enough to keep fighting them. So i end up getting trashed in mid game and down 2-6 now, and the toxic jg who fed them, doesn't counter well, and keeps chatting something toxic gets a couple more kills because he is strong enough to clean up after they dive me. So now the jg is 8-7 but the whole game is going downhill and nobody is pinning blame on the 4 deaths that were fed in the first place. People really don't understand the game well enough and just say omg you can't talk your 2-6 and im 8-7!!!! and toxic on from there of course. So I end up with 6 death and the jg ends up with basically the same 7 death and thinks his kda is better but really lost the game entirely and doesn't even realize it.

It's because RIOT's punishment system is so bad nobody cares. They have this automated bullshit that doesn't read into situations. just looks at keywords and shit. Honestly riot is a horrible ass company. Everyone knows it. Every streamer laughs about it. It's a complete joke.

Riot has been looking into this problem for a while. I believe that they just don't want to state anything out in public just yet since there may be false hope that comes with it. The reality is without voice chat the report system has to be somewhat weak since it can be super abusable to those same toxic players. If it was a stronger system a toxic player could simply lie and make a believable story and just report you and that could possibly start a whole other problem which is false bans. I've dealt with all elo toxicity truthfully and as much as I hate them for ruining my mood let alone the game, the only thing we can do is report them and wait for riot to do something. I would say make a system where the obvious stuff is ban on sight, such as combination of stupid summ spells, jungler not taking smite, offensive words that are a little taboo such as racial slurs and name calling, inting scores or certain amount of time away from teams in off places. Although, one tip to tell you is that if you're gonna play ranked you have to play at your best and not as a casual. It honestly isn't hard to not feed. Play safe, farm properly and you'll inherently win the game. Especially if you're playing characters that are in meta or powerful. Roles such as adc and supp can be a real hard place to carry since that's holding trust in another individual who may have gotten autofilled so I would recommend playing jungle and mid since they're the best solo que roles in low elo. Top is viable (especially with champs like camille, irelia and gangplank), but be careful since you losing the lane can really lead to you being useless the entire game.

i havent seen it every single game but there is a lot. riots punishments and bans are definitely not having much effect

Yeah I get told how its MY fault we lost, how bad I suck at the game, because I mamanged to push their inhib, expose their nexus towers. Sion decides THAT is when he is gonna push the top which still has all towers standing. I ping baron when they are all down and get completely ignored. everyone just decides to chase thier solo kills, and then turns around and tells me how I suck. how I dont know how a team game works...how i need to uninstall etc. we lost a perfectly winnable game because kids decided "hmm we could win as a team....or I can go chase my solo kills....yeah my kills is more important"

so tired of dealing with halo-minded toddlers who only care about securing thier personal killstreaks, regardless of how much it screws over everyone else.

Plus Silver ranked players are mainly cocky when they get a lead. Even some Bronze players are far better than Silver players in terms of skills and respect. Silver players mainly love to talk trash at people who they deem lower ranks than them. These are the types of players, I clearly show no respect i.e behavior wise as they disgusted me to the core.

Great example of how much of a failure the punishment system is
