So its toxic to call someone out for eloboosting?

So I was playing on a silver smurf and I had this phenomenal teammate who seemed a little... lost with the game. He did a grand total of 10k damage as toplane in a 40 minute game and was always alone doing his own thing while the rest of us grouped. His overall cluelessness eventually caused us to lose the game. I decided to lolking him up when I was dead and it turns out he went 10/10 in placement matches recently then and lost every single game after that. So after the game I called him out on his obvious elo boosting and I was hit with the "Your recent behavior is not in line with the summoner's code yada yada...etc." warning. What am I supposed to do? Honor him for good teamwork and keep pretending players like this earned their spot on the ladder fair and square? Players like him that keep buying eloboosting services ruin the ranked experience for everyone.

It depends on how you called him out. If you were generally kind about it, suggesting that he elo boosted, you shouldnt get warned. If you decided to release the kraken of profanity to demolish his self esteem and anything left of it, eh you might get a warning then. I don't like elo boosters either, but if i have to call someone out I usually try to be as nice as possible, then immedeatly report aftwerwards :/

It's toxic to offend someone, generally.

I remembered this one time where a threader at Boards keeps claiming that Galio is "OP", so I protested him that he wasn't since he has such a low playrate as evidence, til the point he kept calling me a Silver noob (he's Gold btw) & challenged me to a 1v1.

Funny enough, he lost to me & secretly quits the match we're in & he constantly chats crap at me like "reported for scripting". Man, he so mad.

Report them at end game and move on. Calling them out can be very toxic.

Although they removed the unskilled I would think this would fall under cheating? Not really sure.
