I want you to go and make a new account and level it to 30.

Then I want you to tell me with a straight face that the majority of players that are punished are reformed.

Go ahead. I'll wait. Feel free to post the results of your experience here in this thread for all to see.

You are talking about people who got perma banned i guess? You assume these people are reformed, they are not. And it's not riots goal to reform people with a perma ban, the goal is to get rid of them.

In most cases this works but we are talking about 30 million active accounts which means there will always be jerks which want "revenge" and fk with some people

The majority of punished players do reform, because they don't allow their accounts to reach permaban status. The people who get permabanned and have to make new accounts are the ones that did not reform.

I think you may have misinterpreted something somewhere. If I recall correctly, what generally gets said about punished players reforming goes something like this:

  • The majority of players who get punished once reform and never get punished again.
  • The majority of those who get punished twice reform and never get punished a third time.
  • The (now small) majority of those who get punished three times reform and never get punished a fourth time.

And the number continues to shrink further on.

I don't ever recall anyone saying anything about "the majority of players who are punished with a permaban are reformed" - so, if you have a link to a boards post where a Rioter said that, I would be very, very interested.
