Can people be reported for claiming to be high in game?

I get people like this from time to time. We all know the type. Says they're high (probably never touched the Devil's Lettuce once in their life), don't try to win (wouldn't care if it was normals, but don't do this in ranked please), and then get toxic when people get mad at them.

If players are responsible to make sure their devices work and will be punished if they leave a game due to their PC stopping (I know it gives you chances, but you still get a strike and an LP loss) then why aren't players responsible to play with a normal state of mind?

I have zero issues reporting someone who claims this AND their play in game backs it up. Especially if it's a ranked game. Out if all my games there have only been two times where someone typed that and their play backed it up. I reported, but not sure if they were punished or not.

If it's not relevant to the game then keep it to yourself.

Intentional feeding is reportable, however being high isn't.

Not unless they are playing really badly like just feeding over and over. There are many things that affect state of mind: diet, sleep, mood. Lack of sleep can mess up your motor skills and reflexes far more than getting high can. I personally wouldn't play drunk, but as long as they're not drinking too much it shouldn't drastically affect their performance.

No I read it, but you're bringing a new thing up. Riot already established being drunk isn't reportable, as seen in the case of Meteos on New Years.

I mean, you can just report them if they feed or be toxic. If they do none of that and you're just mad at them cause they aren't carrying you hard enough, then you're being toxic.

The "idc" is giving up. The "this bot lane is shit" is insulting.

Report them for that. It'll stack up and lead to a punishment eventually.

Seeing as league of legends started out in California, I cant see them punishing people anytime soon for being high and playing poorly. However if they're harassing other players you can report them for verbal abuse. Although the things you mentions so far aren't close to what I would call toxic you can let riot decide that.

Exactly why I'm asking Riot to start doing that. People shouldn't be able to hide behind the "I'm high/drunk" excuse to ignore their otherwise reportable behavior. Still waiting on Meteos to be punished for inting, but he's excused because "he was drunk" which makes it OK somehow.

But what if they do super well when drunk? Example: I drank 5-8 jager bombs and was pretty drunk, but I ended up winning 6 games in a row as lulu support, and getting 2-3 honors per game. Should I have been reported for being drunk or does it only matter if we lose the game and if that's the case it doesn't seem very morally correct To ban someone over rather he won or lost when he was inebriated.

You're taking thing out of context ["idc I'm just gonna smoke again, this bot lane is shit"] notice the comma between "idc I'm just gonna smoke again" And "this bot lane is shit" I'm pretty sure he saying he doesn't care about smoking and playing league rather then not care about the game.

I mean you can report them, but I dont think anything will come of it. Unless they are legit inting, i dont see how you can punish people for something they do off game. Even if it affects their performance. Unless they are inting. Furthermore, you can always ask support.

I mean, I play stoned all the time, I feel like it doesn't effect my performance adversely at all. Now, like you said, these people are more than likely not stoned and are just saying it to either seem "cool" or "hip" or as an excuse for poor performance in game...

I mean, you're free to report a player for doing something like this, ultimately it's down to Riot whether it is a punishable offense or not.

Imo, if Riot started to see an inflammation of people reporting others for this kind of behavior they may actually decide to punish for it...

Stoned =/= the definition of high. Similar to alcohol, people have different tolerance levels. You can take 3 sips of beer, does that make you drunk/inebriated?

Yeah, primarily because there is no clear definition of either high or stoned... or drunk. Just like people have different tolerance levels people simply define "drunk" and "high" completely differently.

There's a reason why when it comes to DUIs what matters isn't the level of "drunkenness" but simply the blood alcohol content. "Drunkenness" may be the deciding factor in whether or not somebody is adequately able to drive a car (or play a League of Legends game), but it's impossible to define.

So, unless you find a way to do a blood test over the internet, there simply are no definitions to go by in this matter.

There's a pretty clear difference in all of them. I've seen people who drink and act more happy, and then they keep drinking at hit the stage where they're pissing their pants in a shower. Similar to being high, there's a state in which you just don't act consciously.

A clear difference (which is debatable when it comes to "high" vs. "stoned") does not result in a clear definition. Something that goes "fast" is obviously faster than something that goes "slow". There's a pretty clear difference between these two terms without either of them being defined in the slightest.
