Can we make it so that you can only down vote so many posts.. and then to continue downvoting you're required to type a comment? I swear it seems like some people just search for a thread topic.. then proceed to downvote all threads of said topic. I don't mind getting downvoted, but I'd really like to know why I'm downvoted. Any feed back on this? Maybe a board mod or something can let me know why this is or isnt a good idea? I just don't like seeing a thread with like 10 down votes and only 2 comments, that's silly to me. Anyways, thank you for your time and to whoever reads this.. see ya on the rift! :)

Because down voting expresses disproval. That's the comment. They don't agree with you.

Can you link an example? Cause I don't see a lot of random down voting happening.

My apologies friend, it was a generalization and I apologize for it. I'll use this as an example.. when you do a good job people give you a thumbs up, figurative pat on the back, so on and so forth... However often times when something is done incorrectly, constructive criticism is something that is used along with the expression of disapproval. The boards, generally speaking of course seem to have a very difficult time giving constructive criticism and either silently downvote or just flame the person(without giving reason). Do you now kind of see why I yearn for comments even when someone down votes something? Often times, if I am incorrect.. really it's just me being ignorant to the situation.. it's not be demanding nerfs or buffs for example without reason.. I hope I cleared that up? ^.^

Eh, somewhat. But the reason people do stuff like that is usually the person is either very biased, too stupid and stubborn to listen to reason, or they don't feel like it.

If you want to comment on a downvote, post in the thread.

Frankly, the downvotes don't really mean much. A lot of forums have that option now. And it's abused just as much as anything else on the internet.

Some posts that actually should be seen get buried tho due to said downvoters. Just because it's currently abused doesn't necessarily mean that it should continue to be abused.

For instance.. I'll give you one example. All I asked was.. why is riven resourceless and could she possibly work off of some other type of resource? A genuine question of curiousity buried by downvotes. Most times didnt even get an answer, just downvoted. How is that a bad thread?

Riven with resources would be a very not-good champion. Her Q would take all of her resource, because she needs to spam that skill like crazy, and her shield would most likely be used once or twice, and no longer be as effective due to how you have to manage her resource now. Her all-ins would be very rare, and she could no longer be as mobile as she is, as she would have to get mana items if she had mana, and energy would be really shit on her. They would also have to rework her passive. If Riven wasn't resourceless, she wouldn't be as nearly as good. People thought you weren't good enough to realize that. While I may be too lazy to look it up, it usually depends on how you ask the question, and how nice you are.

At the moment she's to mobile and her q could work like fiora's old q which was the second cast was free if you did it with in x amount of seconds.. the same type of thing could work . There's always a way so it's not right to say there isn't anyways riven aside i appreciate your rational answer as opposed to just downvoting me and moving on. I wish more people would do that to be honest =]

Riven's mobility is all she has going for her. She's too squishy, and building armor is a waste on her. She relies on all-ining or excessive trading, as she has no poke or skill shots. She also has a really high skillcap to use most effectively.

To be honest the juggernaut update pushed her out of meta. If she's against a squishy tho shes oppressive and she was before the juggernaut rework as well.

Im saying at the moment she is oppressive against squishies, before the juggernaut update tho she was effective against just about anything. Her kit is still over loaded for a resourceless champ imo
