Is it toxic if...

with the risk of rileing up the flamers who are looking for reasons to call out Rito on perceived hyppocrisy(as i've seen happen recently) i have a few questions concerning context that i want to know how either rioters or the arbiters feel about. I'd like to state before hand that i know that these tactics are probably not technically legal.

Is it toxic if...

if i reply to a "k y s" with "you first" or "show me how it's done, senpai" ?

if i reply to "this team is f-ing useless" or "this game is a waste of time" with "just like you"?

if i reply to "shut up fa ggot" with "ok, sweetheart"?

and the like

i mean... i know it's passive agressive rhetoric but technically i'm not being toxic per say by replying in this manner...so...

is it toxic and is it probable that i may get punished for doing shit like this?

Yes. Encouraging self-harm isn't acceptable whether you do it or they do it.

Yes. Insulting another player by using their own phrases against them is still insulting them.

This one I don't believe is punishable, unless you make a habit of being condescending throughout the game.

i'd just stay away from saying things remotely offensive unless you know how your team will respond

Yes, it's toxic.

By the way, I didn't even bother reading the content.

If you have to stop and wonder if something is toxic or not then the answer is, yes, yes it is.

I ain't either of the people you asked for, but yha I could see this possibly ending up as a ban hammer strike.

EDIT: esp the "just like you" part that's basically calling them the same thing/being toxic towards them.

Understand that riot is able to decide if context matters or not if it will result in a punishment. Right now, context is a weapon exclusive only to riot, so they have every right to ban you for words that are not offensive if used in a offensive context, but they also have the right to ignore the context of any word they consider hate speech even if the context indicates that it is used in a harmless manner. That's just how the system works at the moment, and you gotta accept it and not respond to any provocation atm.
