I have 5 perma banned accounts (2 for toxicity) now where my last ban was on a diamond smurf 2 weeks ago. I'm not a toxic player. I've never told anyone they should get cancer, kill themselves, or that they are anything bad irl. I've never told anyone that they are anything but "bad" I use the passive aggressive method to pass off my irritation to others without being too harsh. And yet the game makes me so angry. Just being in a game where I get camped and my jungler is 0-0-0 and spamming "haha ur feeding" as I get dived right next to him makes me so angry. But that STILL doesn't make me want to tell him to kill himself. My main point is this game has went downhill so easily when it comes to punishments for verbal abuse. Why have a mute button if people aren't going to use it just so they could piss off people have a bad day then report them because they believe they are better than them? I can tell of 3 people on this website who KNOW I hate their guts. This game used to be so much more fun when saying "you suck" was considered a joke and people weren't so sensitive. For some reason people play this game to be appreciated or something and I don't understand why they are like this. Nobody plays competitive games to say "damn I'm getting 2v1ed atleast u got your crab 20 minutes in without a gank!". I'm going to say "please do something you haven't had any presence at all this game". If that's toxic to you, than you are the kind of person moving me away from the game. The level of sensitivity in this game has increased 10x since season 5 and it's honestly made me lose interest. After my 5th permaban(which occurred Ina game where a duo sat in my lane and I was trash talked by my jungler, who I told to shut the fuck up and watch my lane and see what he could do better) I honestly lost all hope for riot. I'm not a toxic player. I just don't enjoy being patient with people who don't care for the game as much as I do. Saying you suck shouldn't hurt you. Abuse the mute button or don't ask for bans on others for hurting your feelings. I'm ready for the down votes as long as my thoughts are finally down on this site .

"I'm not a toxic person", yet you have not one, but FIVE permaban accounts! that just seems really strange. But it would be nice to see your chat log! you can claim all you want that you weren't toxic. which the term itself has many meanings, you can still be toxic and not tell people to kill themselves. it could just be that you are overall negative, or very passive aggressive that it comes off as toxic behavior. it could mean that you are trying to force others to report another person, or anything in between. We have rules set for a reason. If you aren't following them you are bound to get punished, especially with how punishment tiers are set now you have had numerous chances to change, yet you not only got one account ban, but five! But all of this could be much more clear to us if we saw your chat logs!

Nah dude 3 of them were just using my friends accounts when they quit. I'm sorry I didn't add that. I have 2 permabanned accounts from toxicity. My first acc back 3 years ago I was super toxic spamming ni***r as a joke and stuff and I earned that ban easily. The last ban was just so hopeless I didn't even bother to check the records because the game that triggered it was so obvious. A game where I had to deal with a duo jungler and mid laner and was refused all kinds of help by an udyr main who told me to go fuck myself even when I didn't say anything to him but "please help me fend off the vi and azir". He then spammed that I was feeding and how I was garbage and I told him to stfu and watch my lane. I was reported by him and the enemy duo when I ended up still doing good and helping my team win.

So you are basically saying it was someone else fault, and not your own. very good mentally if you ask me! You could have easily handle that maturely, but you decided to fight back which isnt tolerated here! you could have done the right thing and reported them after the end, and mute them if they were being disruptive in chat. You are not the law here. You do not make the rules, and as such you are not free range to break the rules just because someone was worse! Hell the sheer fact you refuse to give us your chat log is just proof enough for me at least that you have something to hide and probably know full well why you were ban! Especially when you said yourself that you made "racist jokes" although i dont see how just saying the N-word is joking, but im not you! But all in all until i see chatl log stating otherwise ill just assume you were just as toxic as you were in your past games here!

Did I say it was anyone else's fault? I said that I was not toxic whatsoever in that game but because three people did not like me they reported me and it triggered the ban. What are you on buddy. I said that in that game I had more than enough reason to type out 4 letters and say "stfu"

And yet if you did nothing wrong their reports would be meaningless. If they reported you and you were toxic in chat you would get punished. Since this happen this seems to be the case.

Telling someone to shut the fuck up is picked up by the fucking ROBOT that punishes people. So don't tell me what I already know. I did nothing wrong as a player in this game. The udyr would have been banned but I refuse to report people because they hurt my feelings. I've dropped my balls and I can defend myself. I don't need a robot to make me feel better.

I'm not here to make you believe me. I'm here to vent with my honest opinion of the ban system. I watch tyler1 and laugh at his toxicity levels compared to mine and how we both get punished the same way. Him telling others to kill themselves correlates to my telling others they need to play the same game as me.

I believe that its unreal to think that people aren't gong to vent via chat.. Or that people shouldn't be obligated to simply ignore or mute a player when being the target of a toxic player.. I'm sure the community doesn't like toxic behavior but if they are responsible enough to make a discussion about it then why are they incapable of muting a player in game.. The cause of the increasing number of smurfs and the bronze league becoming overwhelmingly large is due to the fact that Riot had a "Brilliant" (Mistake) idea of incorporating Behavior to elo.. Like because someone rages doesn't mean they deserve to not be playing with players of they skill level.. Yes someone should be punished in certain circumstances but unless if these reports are actually being read through and through then i do not believe people are being punished for the correct reasons... To actually permanently "BAN" someone who invested money into your game riot is unreal unless if they are CHEATING using mods or 3rd party programs.. END OF STORY

The fact that I've never wished death or told someone to get cancer OR told someone they are a n***** but get permabanned for childish insults makes me even more angry. What the fuck should I do when I have an intent feeder on my team. Whip my d*ck out and start shoving it up my ass? There's no counterplay to this game. Of all the broken champions with no counterplay, riot has exceeded it.

Do you have the chat logs? I'm curious, as Riot has a very, VERY small false positive rate at this point, and it triggering 5 undeserved permanent bans through all the stages of punishment seems really unlikely.

it's simple dude..you got banned 5 times bcs you are breaking their rules:)...if you think they are fair or not, it doesn;t really matter..what matter is, that you were breaking those rules:).. You are basicly not that smart when it comes to rules:).

Riot is cracking down and has even put new systems in order to do so. Things have definately changed. The game has become a global phenomenon, more people are playing than ever. The toxicity, negativity and harassment in game is a constant issue being reported by players, how its all setup is just Riot's response.

Don't get me wrong, I'm with you on things have become much too sensetive, but that's just how the culture has morphed over the years. Though I don't nessecarily agree with everything Riot does they are just trying to protect their assets.

I mean like now that LoL is such a huge thing nowadays, how many immature kids like 14 and younger you think are playing these days that weren't before. Not that all kids act immaturely in game but there has to be something to try and stop it, at least slow it down. I don't think Riot has the formula to do that today, but they be trying.

This is NOT the right way of punishing toxic people. "U suck" or "get good" is not toxic. It will never be toxic. If you are above 10 this is not considered toxic. Saying "n****r or kill yourself or get cancer IS toxic. The rules are flawed. You DONT put a mute button then report everyone who triggered your childish heart.

I've already started playing every game with all chat off and everyone muted from the start. Does that stop them from playing like garbage ? Nope. But atleast now I don't get to see the bullshit they type . Also I'm not here to motivate you. If you can't carry your weight I'm going to let you know you're playing very bad in a less harsh way. If that's toxic to you, then don't queue up and expect us to hold hands when you're 0-10 with no game knowledge. And I WILL know if you're having a bad day. But when your match history proves otherwise, i can type "you suck" as many times as I want because you let your team down.

Calling people "you suck" does nothing beneficial, except to show how much you're triggered into calling people that with extreme frustration, technically speaking, you're as childish as the victims of your toxicity. Like what difference is there between the two of you?

So what if you oh so claim that the "you suck" is considered "non-toxic"? People can still report you for that as Unsportsmanlike Conduct instead of Verbal Abuse and you'll still be punished. But since you did mentioned that you intended to write "you suck" in your own free will, then you do not have the rights to complain about the punishment that you wanted to receive for writing "you suck".

Keep that 5 year old tantrum of yours in check before posting an irony such as this thread.

Code of conduct issues used to be related to disrupting game play. Spamming, etc. Hate speech and extreme vulgarity were generally what got punished, for everything else there was mute.

You can't control how people are. Draconian behavior enforcement is just going to breed a certain type of person and chase the rest out. People who will try to bait you into saying something reportable, people who will ping you to overextend, thinking they would be there for you, and then leave you there to die, etc.

Encouraging people to be passive aggressive instead of being confrontational is not giving you a more mature player. The rules need to be lax enough to allow slips, words, and whatever else, and focused on targeting people that are consistently firing off personal attacks and harassing behavior. The internet is not a 'safe space', and neither is this game. Just because someone will be punished for words isn't going to stop them from using them, its just going to make those words more impactful, which seems counterproductive to me.

Right. Only the person can control himself, unless you are putting a gun to the guy's head. So it's not Riot's fault, it's the person's fault.

The former is reportable (passive aggressive chat), the second is ignorable (Ping Volume), the third is a miscommunication.

Well, that's kinda what they are doing, they are just cleaning up the minor garbage while they're at it.

The internet is not a 'safe space', and neither is this game.

The game has its own rules bud- Follow them or get out. If that's a safe space to you, then you won't like most public places.

That's why we tell toxic players they will get permabanned. It's up to them whether they reform or not.

I wasn't raised into reporting everyone. I just decided I didn't want these guys to keep ruining League's reputation. The day I take offense to a fucking comment on the internet is the day I die. If anything, you seem to take offense to being told "what you are doing is not allowed".
