We need stricter punishments for behavior/leaving

Yesterday, I played two competitive matches. In Match #1, a teammate died 10 times in 19 minutes. It was clear intentional feeding, he was jungling and after each death said "when i go in you guys have to follow" and sure enough he would spawn, charge into a lane and die.

  • There should be an automatic ban on someone who has a certain K+A/D ratio divided by time played in game. Yes people can have a bad game, yes people can die a few times in a short period of time. But there should be an extreme metric, such as a death every 2 minutes with few kills+assists.

In Match #2, our top laner left after 8 minutes. He said "sorry i have to leave in 3 minutes" and then left and said "good luck." I've experienced this a few times recently - intentional abandons while informing the team that it's going to happen. Very intentional.

  • Clearly, the LeaverBuster system is far too lenient if people are not even trying to pretend like it's a disconnect. I would recommend enhancing the punishment. I have been playing since 2009 or so, and can't recall having ever left a ranked match, so I have no sympathy for this behavior.

Bad decision making? Sucking at the game? Most likely. Doesn't sound like intentional feeding to me though.

This is a terrible idea, many innocent, sucky players will get punished for sucking, which is just straight up not fair.

The leaverbuster system works fine. If you start handing out bans for leaving games that's not fair. Sometimes unexpected emergencies or a sudden ISP service drop or a power outage can happen.

My father was just in an accident and I need to leave to see if he is okay. But fuck my ranked make is going on.

Oh a storm just hit knocking out all my power.

These are just two possible situations in which, shit happens. The leave buster isn't being so punishing it bans people who leave game once. But it does work against repeat offenders. People that dodge MUTIPLE games in a row and do not seem to stop. I've had to leave games before because frankly that's life. I hate doing it but I can't always stay. Hell sometimes I queue up in the morning and my game goes for 60 minutes and I need to leave for work soon. I didn't expect the game to last that long but it did and I may have to leave so I don't miss my bus and be late.

Moral of it is shit happens. The leave buster punishes properly.

I find irony in the fact that using kda as the basis for ban would get YOU banned for the last few games you played....

Even if I misjudge how long a match runs, I have the decency to stay til the end, and only leave early under extreme circumstances...

Have u never stomped someone in lane and felt like they were maybe a little too unskilled to be facing you? Your jungler keeps ganking them, they're highly predictable, so you just make them look like shit? You would want that opponent to be permabanned? You know very well that they're just bad and don't belong in a lane against you, yet they should have their account permanently deleted because of that? Are you serious man? That is the worst idea I've ever heard, sorry.
