Good Customer Service and Ticket System but Terrible Punishment System

I just got out of a game where a Morgana was purposely inting and being passive aggressive about her behavior. I pinged my lane was missing and she just stayed under tower . . . and then died to the ZIggs she knew was near her the entire time. I mean I pinged almost 20 to 30 seconds in advance and she just sat there. I gave her some advice to move away and respond to pings . . . and she said "I am so sorry. Am I upsetting you?" For the rest of the game she fed, snowballed bot lane, kept saying she was sorry, spammed surrender, left her ADC to feed toplane, and was just acting like a passive aggressive person to get sympathy from others. She knew what she was doing the entire game and she was so interested in how everyone was feeling towards her behavior and feeding. She was fishing for negativity to have a reason to report someone. Looking at this players match history, yeah . . . she feeds a lot and loses a lot of games. With the behavior she just gave me in game, I would not be a bit surprised if she sits there and does that in game for all of the games she loses or is carried in.

I reported the player in game and filed a ticket. I will say that I am impressed with the people that respond to tickets. They are always so nice, respond in a timely manner, give advice on how to deal with the toxic behavior, assure me that they are looking into the matter at hand, and make me feel like they really care. I do believe a ticket that is mentioned from a report is more effective than just a report in game. I feel like my issues are being looked at and with the best intentions. Thank you Riot Games Customer Support.

This will, unfortunately, likely always be the case for griefing/intentional feeding reports - it's very hard to automate that type of punishment without it having tons of false positives.
