Toxic Player Behavior: Banning Teammate's Picks @Riot

This is rampant in Bronze, especially- every three games or so, a player with a ban decides to control their teammate's picks by banning what they have previewed so they'll play what the person in question wants. Don't like the person who wants to play Aurelion Sol support? Ban his champion.

This is the most disgusting thing since Illaoi's minigame (pre tentacle assists). This needs to either be clearly stated as punishable in the rules or better yet, hard coded to be impossible. We now have the ability to change our previewed pick, so 'I changed my mind, ban him instead' isn't a problem anymore- why not grey out teammate's pick previews in the ban menu much like already-picked champions are in the pick menu? This prevents 'accidents' as well as toxicity.

i don't see it that often. I'm in bronze.

I see it a bit more often when a new champ comes out, but now? its rare.

Just because someone puts it as their pick doesn't mean that the team shouldn't ban it. IF that player wants an OP/strong champ this patch and last pick...chances are he's not going to get it anyways so might as well ban so you're not facing it on the opponents team. Learn to just let it slide and play another champion

I don't think it's intentional. Most people just ban without looking at pick desires. It's sad but it happens.

It's the best use of the ban function in normal queue right now. It's annoying being in a game where people want to take Lucian mid, that has a 41% winrate and is just straight up bad.

If I see a bad player playing a tough to play char in a bad lane I'm banning it, it makes them pick the one other thing they can play in that lane which is usually more meta.

I don't mind if a good player is doing it to balance out the team or counter a lane, but the reason most people do this is so they have a built in excuse for failing ahead of time.

I'm glad when people get mad about it too. Make friends and play your 40% winrate stuff with friends, stop burdening random people with your bad play.
