As a consistent toxic player I would like to offer a suggestion

First off I am a toxic player. I cuss at teammates and am very mean to players in my team who are having a bad game. I have had multiple chat bans and am probably on my last leg before permanent ban. I would like to apologize to any players I have hurt there feeling.

Now here me out. I don't want to be toxic but I will not reform. I am a 25 year old male in the construction feild and this behavior is pretty regular to me. I like playing league of legends but I am among a very small percentage of players who are like me. I am not saying that my action are justified but there is no hope for me to reform.

I might even speak for other toxic players when I suggest that a feature should be implemented that gives me the option to mute myself from other players. This could be even before I get into a game in the main settings of the game that just don't allow me to use chat in while playing.

I don't have the willpower to change and I would hate to see my account permanently banned.

Thank you for your time.

I don´t understand the downvotes, the dude is accepting the fact that he is a toxic person and knows that he won´t be able to change this, so he wants a way for him to avoid being toxic in the first place via a self mute option. I would argue that a person willing to do this is actually on the first step to becomming a less toxic and good member of our community.

Our terrible, shithole of a community. Kappa

Fact of the matter there is quite a bit of strategy you need chat to communicate and this would put your team at a disadvantage. The issue is not so much the system but you which you've seemed to realize. Your whole attitude of "I will not reform" is what needs to change.

People act differently in different situations based on who they're around. It's one thing to cuss out your co-workers that know you and are used to that environment (used to do the same thing in a warehouse environment - it gets hot people get cranky) but it's another thing to do with people you've never met.

It is a feature that has been suggested before, but chances are there are more important features, like a report cards, that need to be implemented first before self muting chats.

For now, find a piece of lego / hard cardboard, shape it over your enter key and place over it. Making it hard for you to press enter without going through some hassle.

I'm pretty sure you can drag the chat box off the screen when the game starts.
