Feeling like this new honor system is "double" punishing neutral players who get punished

So as we all know, you cant be reported for being a neutral player and not talking etc, as in you cant be punished if youre just kind going along not really talking just casually enjoying the game, This used to be an issue when people were scared with automatic punishments and tiers, that they felt they were being forced, to "be positive" in order to reduce their punishment level (which was addressed by rioters and said that as long as they play and dont get punished, it would neutralize out)

BUT NOW with this new honor ystem, being tied to hextech rewards, Im starting to feel like players like me who are neutral are being punished twice for one offense, because the ONLY WAY to increase honor level and regain the rewards is to get honor, and you only get honor by talking alot being friendly etc. you rarely get honor for being passive.

which makes me ask: is this fair that passive players now are being forced to not be passive/neutral after a fuckup to get those rewards back?

I rarely talk in games when I'm playing, as I mostly play aram. In fact half of my aram games my entire team was completely quiet, myself included. I'm honor 4.

You don't need to talk to earn honor.

I guess you never carried a game before or pulled an "xPeke" move for the win. Someday you will enjoy that rush of excitement and typically your teammates will thank you for the carry by honoring you. BTW, no chat needed during the whole game... just carry hard.

Dude, the honor system is stupid. People will honor the person with the most kills like 99.999999999999999999% of time no matter how many clutch plays another makes.

Additionally, your shit gets reset if you get ANY account penalty. So, yeah, I agree with you on the point that people get punished for not lavishing praises and rainbows and happy fairy shit on people. If you say anything at ALL that isn't the aforementioned, you get reported as toxic.

GG. League is officially carebear chat daycare. I keep telling them to just remove the chat box, which they really should since the only chat allowed is sunshine and smiles.

I hardly talk and I got honour 4 two days ago. Just have good pings or dank memes

passive neutral players will still gain honors over a large number of games.

Even if you don't say one word or don't receive any of those honor marks at end of the game lobby, you still gain honor, just at slower rate. Your problem with the system seems to be that a neutral person receiving a punishment is bad for "honor". I must ask: What kind of neutral person gets punished? I don't know such a person.

I don't usually say anything before or during the match and I only talk in the after game lobby when it is too late to 'beg for honors' but reporting is still possible. I think that counts very close to being a "Neutral" player you describe. Even so, I have Honor 3 and I don't think Honor 4 is too far in future (I saw first Honor 4s yesterday). Oh, and for some reason I am not afraid of getting punished and losing that Honor that way.

There are problems with the new Honor system though. The worst problem is imo that the new Honor carries no honor. Instead it is just a system to receive bacon. However, I have experienced one big benefit from it. It has reduced the amount of trolling and other negative behaviour in all forms. Thanks to that, I don't even miss my old HO-honor badge (that much).

This simply isn't true. You don't need to talk to get honors. I barely say anything at all when I'm playing and I get tons of honors. I'm honor level 4 already for crying out loud! It's possible to be a positive force without saying a word. Ping objectives, make plays, the honors will come when your teammates feel you deserve it!
