muting pings

This has been a request since the boards were still the forums, and riot has already stated theyre not going to do it, and here is why

players already /mute all at the start of games regardless of if theyre toxic. and 4 man premades often mute the solo player. muting pings takes away a muted player's only ability to communicate with their team.

If riot were to implement a ping mute feature, it would have to

A. be EXTREMELY limited, such limitations could and would likely include

• only being able to mute pings from 1 player on your team, and being disabled in premades
• not actually muting the person, but "surpressing" causing you to see 1 ping instead of 8
• only be able to do it once every so many games
• be able to either mute their chat or pings, but not both

B. get you banned for actually using it

the "refusal to communicate" report would have to come back, and muting people who arent toxic is now a bannable offense
