And as a result of it, just getting INTO a game takes far longer than actually playing one.

People are jumping into the queue just to autododge at the absolute last second, or disconnect before the game loads up and force the team to do a remake, which takes even longer to just get into a game.

There's a sub-community in this community full of sub-sub-sub-humans who are actively trying to destroy League of Legends in order to force whatever will succeed League to come sooner with the mindset that it will be better by default. Of course, because they barely possess the sapience to learn how to hack and sabotage the servers directly, this is their strategy. Gum up the fucking game by preventing anyone from actually getting into a game.

The community is long overdue for a merciless purge, Riot.

I'm not referring to any sort of technical sabotage. Trolling in game would be far more harmful.

In both cases (intentionally playing poorly or intentionally dodging), the "harm" is negligible at best. The player base is huge. The actions of one person is like a drop of water in a Olympic swimming pool.

"Enjoy", in massive quotation marks. I've known people to get into agony cults for the express purpose of systematically destroying themselves in mind, body and spirit for its own sake, to perpetuate their own suffering. It's a type of madness that is starting to infect the entire world.

It is about as successful as standing in line for five minutes at the bank, then going to the back of the line once you reach the front after stalling for another five minutes, then repeating this process ad infinitum in order to bring down Wells Fargo. Problem is a lot of people are doing it enough that I get an average of three remakes and dozens, if not hundreds, of autododges a day.

In theory? Silver, but I'm also out-of-depth, and then there's the bonkers matchmaking right now.

And I play at varying times. The behavior is consistent across all hours, though the late-hour players are a particular brand of sad and cataclysmically depressed.

Its stupid beyond belief and people wonder why the trolls are so rampant? Because every single game there are those people that rage and flame at them and cause the person to laugh knowing thet are succeeding in their work.
