since season 2, i cant have more than 2 games without anyone saying stuff like

"all report xy pls" "x9 xy" "9 reports, enjoy ban noob" etc.

its almost 7 years of this and riot seems to dont care about the idiotic ppl that literally never read the rules or how the current system works.

is it really so hard to code a line into the IFS that sends ppl who ask for reports a message after the game saying

"hey riot games here you dumb fuck.

  1. we wrote the rules, not you so shut up.
  2. how about you read the fucking rules first?
  3. while youre at it, also read up on how the system works. and now stop that stupid report asking because it is useless 1 report = 9 reports"

the amount of times the entire game goes downhill because s1 said "report xy pls" and person xy goes like "stfu you noob, youre reported" is insane. this happens SOOOOOOOOOO OFTEN i cant count it.

7 years later, riot just doesnt care to change this. and yea asking to report might be a rulebreak (on some servers) but i can guarantee you, you'd have to ask for several 100's of games every single time "report xy pls" before you get that first 10 games CR.

i really dont understand you riot games.

First of all, acting like Riot is somehow incompetent or lazy regarding the situation isn't the best way to get your point across. Shit like this:

its almost 7 years of this and riot seems to dont care...

is it really so hard to code a line into the IFS that sends ppl who ask for reports a message after the game...

7 years later, riot just doesnt care to change this.

i really dont understand you riot games.

Is totally unnecessary and only hurts the possibility that anyone, let alone Riot, considers what you're saying.

Second, you also have to accept the possibility that there will, regardless of ease of access, be several people out in the world who won't know things. There are people who don't even skim the Patch Notes for important balance changes, and those are easy to find. Riot's stance on report rallying? Less easy to get your hands on.

Which also falls in on a similar note to the first point; don't call people idiots just because they don't have immediate knowledge or understanding of the same things you do, especially if those things aren't immediately or easily available to find.

Yes, it's bad for people to rally for reports, yes, it's punishable and against the rules, but no, not everybody is going to know that. Whether they just don't know the depth of the rules (some people only generally know the rules, after all. "Don't be a dick", and all that.), or because they believe their rallying for reports was justified, they're not idiots or dumbfucks just because they don't have this immediate knowledge or understanding.

And they are certainly not deserving of such belittlement as you propose.

Well.. 7 years ago, the system did work on numerical votes. They changed that 3 years ago when the IFS came out.

Shortly after that, Lyte left Riot and it probably took 1 year to hire someone new to take over that position. Sounds like the new person (probably Kim Voll, or it might be Riot Gromp) that came in and redid honors system.

I think around a 1 1/2 years ago, they had a loading screen tool tip saying that extra reports wasn't necessary, but they probably quickly found out that that method of education wasn't an effective avenue of education.

So now Tantram is working on something that is even more exciting than monthly report cards. If it gives players enough visibility of how the system works, then it will probably be a better solution than what you proposed.
