the less talked about issue with reports

im willing to bet money that A LOT of players dont even care about toxic chat, and rather report you not because you were toxic, but because you died 10 times AND were toxic enough that a report would stick and if the person gets banned they wont get matched with them. im deeply concerned that very few people are using the report system the way it was intended, and even the people who report "validly" are only doing it because they care more about not getting matched with a bad player and losing MMR then their negative chat

i'd like to hear what a rioter has to say about this

EDIT my point wasnt about whether toxic chat deserves to be reported. my concern is that the majority of the people who actually report are doing it for the wrong reasons
