  • it gives another incentive to bait reportable behavior, which is already a fucking plague that riot seems to not care about. trolls will likely flamebait to try and keep peoples honor level down

  • its abusable by premades

  • honors can become public. this is a BAD idea. this is going to cause people salty about a loss to report honored players which could cause the IFS to start seeing positive behavior as toxic if enough people do it.

That's just, like, your opinion, man.

But seriously:

  1. Trolls gonna troll. As far as incentive to bait flames go, the potential to get somebody banned was already there. I'm not sure that honor decay will appreciably add to that.

  2. Abuse how? If groups of five friends go around acting polite to their opponents and after each game engage in an honor circle-jerk... I don't know who that's hurting. Isn't that just fine?

  3. False reports get thrown out. I've never seen anything to indicate that the system could ever "learn" that good behavior is toxic.
