It doesn't change the fact that in the year of our Lord 2015 riot still only has one hamster powered server to service an entire continent. Why do people think ping has to be a zero sum game? It shouldn't be east vs west, It should be everyone vs riot to make them actually hire some competent network people.

I am sure you have the networking background and knowledge to judge their "network people."
I'm not having any problems related to LOL, and from what I've read, they've picked a location closer on average to everyone. Seems like a win. Considering people from here can play flawlessly on EU servers, I think their network techs are doing a fantastic job.
Now the network techs from my ISP... there's a WHOLE other story!

it isnt "East Vs West" least i dont see it that way. the reason they don't break it into NA EAST/ NA WEST is cause they didn't want to cut the NA community in half since it always has been just "NA". Last i checked that was riots reasoning for not making an East and West of it.
they need to treat us Californians better.
