Please fix this huge problem with the Champion Mastery system: points earned from losses
Currently there is a huge problem with the Champion Mastery system. The amount of "champion mastery" points earned is affected by the outcome of the game way too much. For instance, the max points you could get after a loss is about 200-250 (S rank). On the other hand, if you get a C and win, you earn a minimum of 800 points.
I can totally understand why the outcome of the game should have an impact on points earned, because it's a team game after all. You don't want players to make decisions that will earn them more Mastery Points rather than decisions that will help win the game.
But currently, the variance is very huge. It's basically a question of "Did I win this game?", instead of "Did I perform well with the champion this game?". It's very demotivating to play a champion consistently very well, while earning a very negligible amount of points because the enemy team was better. I say negligible because 200 points is nothing when progressing towards 21600 points to get Level 5 (and probably more levels in the future).
I would suggest increasing the cap of points when losing to about 500 (S rank), while keeping the same current amount for winning. This means you will get 2-3 times more points when winning compared to losing, instead of 5-10 times.
So, Riot, please address this issue. I would appreciate some feedback as well.
