To the guy who leaves a 4 vs 5, making it a 3 vs 5,

Thanks. You just made what we could have salvaged now impossible. All because you didn't think it was worth it.

WELL, we defended for 25 minutes without you. We even aced them at one point. WISH YOU WERE THERE,

Signed,

Your still fighting teammates.

The really depressing thing is when your 4v5 turns into 2v5. One guy DCed, and then two other people were like "4v5 GG" and left. The other guy reconnected 10 seconds later, and then said he quit since two other guys already left. Now that is terrible.

Bomei10/27/2014, 1:48:51 PM19 votes

Yeah exactly, 4 v 5's are still possible. I'd rather report that guy than the first. At least you know that they actually quit and are the scum of this community.

stop being a delusional prick, it is near impossible to win a 4 v 5 and the rare times it does happen all it shows is how brokent he ranking system and match making is that you could beat another team when you have 1 less player.

So typical asshat, here you are blaming not the guy who went afk and ruined your game, but the other guy who didnt want to suffer through it because you were hoping that was gonna be your miracle for the year.

Toa of Death10/27/2014, 7:35:13 PM5 votes

I feel like the match should just end right when that happens but it's a loss forgiven-like end. The team that lost loses no LP except for the AFKers, who lose twice the LP(but only if they actually quit the match. gotta be fair to those who suffer from dc)

Why is everyone saying that 4v5 isnt possible to win? Its possible to win, but there is a time limit before when your power gets overwhelmed by sheer number of bodies.

Rivini10/27/2014, 2:37:48 PM5 votes

I literally had this happen to me recently in ranked.

Our mid laner disconnected without warning about a minute into the match (before minions spawned) and never returned. I was supporting and doing just fine in bot lane with my ADC. We were even stomping the enemy ADC and support Ryze (I know...) pretty well and the other lanes were doing fine also.

However, it wasn't good enough for our ADC. He kept threatening to leave because of the 4v5, thinking it's a waste of time, never mind that he was pretty fed and the other ADC was shut down. Then finally, he says bye and leaves. If that wasn't bad enough, yet another ally decided to leave too, making it a 2v5.

I believe we would have won if he stayed. I was so upset about it since if I remember right, it was a series match.

Only my team, though. Enemy team never has an afk. :|

Don't let the score be 1-20 at 11 minutes with 2 inhibs down and that wont happen

but winning a 3v5 gives you a huge sense of satisfaction

GhostCadillac10/28/2014, 2:24:08 AM3 votes

This is truly mind-boggling. You know if would be epic if you win the game when you're down a person (and as the game goes on, you would have never imagined playing a game where you were literally inches away from winning the game). At this point, you REALLY wish that 4th player came back cause you know you can win the game with some extra help.

I love it when I get to make epic comebacks when my team is down members. I also understand, though, it's aggravating when it's clear you can win the game with some extra players which of course you don't have. Winning this game only gets harder when it becomes a 3 v 5. It's still possible to make that epic play, at the same time, but it's definitely harder.

Anyway though, here's my own rule for surrendering: Never give up the game unless you're not having a good time.

ryancole10/28/2014, 2:53:51 AM3 votes

Honestly, I don't blame that person. Literally, 99% of the 4v5 games are losses. I've played since beta and only won maybe 2-3 4v5s, ever. I wouldn't be mad at the person who left the 4v5, making it 3v5. I'd instead redirect the frustration towards Riot, who fails to give a fuck about proper measures to counter-act accidental DCs, etc.

GG Beers10/28/2014, 1:36:49 PM3 votes

The bottom line is that there are too many angry people who don't even like playing this game and are just addicted to it. I finish all my games because I actually enjoy playing, win or lose.

Dankified11/6/2014, 2:12:32 AM2 votes

I've won probably 25-35% of my 4v5 games, because my team doesn't give up. You only have to pick off 1 opponent and the fight is now even. Children that complain about the 4v5 or anything else have never really figured out how to deal with hard situations in life. Personally, I find myself far happier winning a 4v5 when I'm on the 4 side, but then again, children don't understand working for anything and automatically give up. That type of mentality is why this generation is so lazy. That type of mentality is also what makes trolls... well troll right after first blood or "mid or feed". Neither helps your team at all. Neither improves your chances of winning.

Calling someone a cellar dweller doesn't make you look any better than that mega edgy "666" in your name. Memory braggarts..? Of course you're really just trying to put down someone instead of providing legit advice, oh wait, because "I'm sooooo goood I win 2-4 v 5 all the time"

Honestly, I respect the 4v5 team that goes down valiantly, even if it was in Vayne and would rather tell the crybabies to screw off. I don't care what rank you are, I come here to play this game. Not babysit you because a game went wrong and you're crying about it xD GG NO RE

I'm all for understanding people if they legitimately have something unplanned, and let's be fair, gaming isn't the most important thing in the world, but for people who leave on purpose, simply because they don't feel like trying, no. Just no.

MakersF10/27/2014, 11:32:38 PM2 votes

The game is not over until the end, but I'd like to make you notice that GD used to say "you should carry". And at the reply "but I have 2 teammates that are 0/25/0" they reply "if you can not carry, then you belong there". Having AFKs is better than intentional feeders (at least they don't steal experience/give money), so you should carry on your own.

I obviously don't think that, but that was I was told a lot of time, and just wanted to put it into prospective for all the people that use to say it.

I once won a 5v1. The poor guy tried to defend until the last tower. He got 5 honorable opponent, that are the people that make this game good.

RIPxMidnight10/27/2014, 11:34:48 PM2 votes

The worst is when some dude gets mad and bails on a 4v5 never to return... and then the first disconnect comes back a minute later.

Be patient my friends, he might always come back.

GoldenLeSpoink10/27/2014, 11:38:44 PM2 votes

I have won a 2 v 5 before, all you have to do is split push when they are taking objectives; sell all your items to attack damage items and push to the end. And too those who don't believe you can win a 4v5... you obviously aren't the one that is carrying the game.

TeemoHunter133710/27/2014, 11:38:54 PM2 votes

to the guys who try to 1 v 3 when we have a lead because u are too "cocky" i hate u!

Colgate Gator10/27/2014, 11:40:03 PM2 votes

It's quite depressing, and even more when they are still at the keyboard and begin arguing that they shouldn't be reported for leaving the game.

AKL ZCX10/28/2014, 5:27:38 AM2 votes

The only reason you managed to defend that long is because they didn't give a crap since it was a certain victory. If they were a little more serious thing would be the same.

MacGillemhaoil10/28/2014, 11:26:31 PM2 votes

Riot, I have a suggestion. If someone leaves matchmaker, make the leaver give everyone in the match 10 IP. If someone leaves a match, make the leaver give everyone left on the team 50 IP.

A Tortoise10/27/2014, 10:04:14 PM1 votes

I've won a 3v5 before. I went from 5v5 to 4v5 to 3v5 to 3v4. Just make someone on the other team rage quit and then faceroll the remaining enemies.
