Why was my thread erased?? Is this how Riot deals with issues??

I made a thread about 3v3 botting and how bad it's gotten. I posted a screenshot where all people in game except for me were bots. And POOF the thread is gone.

What a fucking scam.

There is no reason to create a thread mentioning names. Even if they are bots, they are against the rules of the boards and honestly we can't help u ban them in any way.

The best way to deal with this is to send riot a support ticket with this information and they would be much more helpful.

I just cannot believe how long this botting issue has gone unaddressed. The old excuse was "Worlds". Now it's "Season 5". Are they never going to address these issues that screw over everyone who plays 3s?

Except that they've been banning bots for quite some time. They're adjusting RAF to remove at least some of the incentive for running bots in the first place. They've talked about it on at least one occasion that I know of (and I tend to miss a lot of what they say).

In short, they are addressing it.

I agree. I logged. In and did 3 matches and 2 out of 3 had bots in them.

It's still naming and shaming... there's no reason to post it on the forums. Riot has a perfectly functional support ticket system that you can report that to - just like the way I report everyone who I see admit to being boosted that way.

It is BS, but these are the rules you must abide by. This is not to prevent you from getting bots banned, but to protect players who do not deserve being shamed.

Screw the rules kid. You become freegame when you decide to cheat. Riot should know this already, but as a childish company I doubt they will ever figure it out.

Calling out cheaters is still name and shame...it doesn't matter if they are cheating or if they are not. That they should be banned isn't the deciding factor whether it is shaming or not. Like I said, name and shame is against the rules regardless of circumstance, and there are anonymous ways to report them.

You have yet to give any sort of explanation as to how Riot is a childish company. Their policy is not unique.

Nobody is defending the cheaters. The defense is there so the non-cheaters aren't punished and harassed. I personally think that cheaters should be permabanned without notice the first time, and that we should be allowed to publicly shame them if we could always tell the difference. But that is not the case; too often an honest person is name and shamed and the rules protect them along with the privacy of all individuals in the community. If you think you have a better way to prevent innocent honest players from being name and shamed while also observing legal privacy of everyone, then please share it.

I always believe people are guilty until proven innocent. And if said players are innocent they would have no trouble proving so.

If the players there can prove they weren't botting, but were having multiple VERY bad games, then keep the thread removed, otherwise the rules stop protecting them and they become free game.

It should be pretty fucking obvious that Im not talking about RL situations, only gaming situations, but considering how stupid a huge chunk of this community is I'm gonna say it anyway.

Im ONLY talking about Gaming situations NOT real life situations.

Because anonymity is a dangerous thing.. People know that online, no one knows who they are. So they do things they wouldn't be able to do in real life.

Name-and-shame is when any player is called out for any reason.

It doesn't matter if your have proof, the boards is not the place for it.

It doesn't matter if it's obvious, the boards is not the place for it.

If it involves any form of accusation towards any other account, the boards is not the place for it.

That's what the rule against name-and-shame means.

It's not like there's any benefit to posting names here, anyway, since players can't do anything about it, and Rioters won't act based on information on the boards.

Instead, submit a support ticket. There's two main benefits to this: First, you know a Rioter has seen it, and second, you aren't breaking any rules. It's win-win, see? Not only do you get what you want (a report to Riot regarding botters), you also keep yourself out of trouble.

Your thread was erased because name and shaming isn't allowed and you know it. Make a support ticket and report them in game just like everybody else.
