So,somebody said ivern was trash? was he at some point

Or was at some point,was there a time where he wasn't as useful? As after some getting used to I was dominating(or dominating in a more supportive fashion..) got an A+ with 4/3/15. My team thought I did great,next game I am planning to do ivern again...apparently I did very good. I was matched up VS on of my teammates from the last game and they banned ivern xD I proceeded so get an S with 13/3/10. so that worked in his favor? Though would ivern be trash? or WAS he trash at some point? his jungle clear is insane! next game I outleveled everyone in the match,and ivaded so fast and so much there graves was 4 levels under me(I was lv17 in the span of the 30 minute game,everyone on my team was 16 everyone on the opposing team was 16 but support and jungle was 13)after looking at stats I invaded the enemy jg and got 59 CS from that alone AND HE TOLD ME TO NEVER PLAY IVERN!!![slayer-jinx-catface]...somebody who was passing some jungle guides. but my point is I am still new with him but did great,was he bad at some point?
