This upcoming season is going to suck I think

-GD is more uppity than usual thanks to some of the recent announcements -(Insert champ A)'s rework was horribly messed up so I've got little faith in (insert champ B)'s upcoming rework -balance team doesn't understand the players (see the last point), to the point I think that the general industry AAA contempt for the playerbase is starting to set in at riot -fighters and adc balance is still out of whack -tank junglers are still weak -top lane is a mess and riot's plans for it are MIA -The lore has been murdered and buried beside jimmy hoffa -Only IronStylus' team and the new skins teams do great jobs anymore (Cass's VU has a few small issues though, the new desparada needs to be a new skin instead of a rework). -The new champ team is okay to good (still need a scythe girl and a dancer champ)

Bleh.

I know there are some people happy with the changes, but riot has really decided to go into full polarization mode. Things are going to be rough for awhile.

I think the OP makes some good points. Not so much about GD touchiness, but the consistently BAD decision-making from the balance and rework teams.

Outside of GD being infuriated (because who cares, honestly) and community created champion archetypes that only a dedicated group wants, I do have to agree on some points. But;

  • you cant make reworks without people complaining
  • lore is already dead and almost entirely fan made so if anything it can only change for good
  • wont speak of balance, there are good and bad moments, but community's complaining is always painful to read because everyone are so damn convinced they could do everything better -some new skins are ok even if they lose detail, some make me confuse old and new model (ex jade fang cass) -i dont know about tank junglers being weak, more like underplayed.

But yeah, top lane, adcs and fighter rework. I dont see hope for this. Especially with Trist going into worlds as she is now, with 60% winrates across the regions an stuff.
