So I accepted a challenge yesterday that when I got my free champion, I will try to main them until 5.13

I got , which isn't too bad. I've played her before and she's pretty cool, but I'm still pretty bad with mages so I'm not sure how this will go. I'm gonna try and do this though, and I'll post some updates too

If anyone else wants to share what champs they got and their progress on the challenge here, please go for it. I think it'd be fun to see how everyone's doing with it and what they feel about it

I got Talon, which is alright. As Assassins go, he's one I'm kind of comfortable on, but I have issues with assassin gameplay as a whole - I can never quite seem to execute it right.

Still, maining for a patch would be pretty cool, if I didn't mostly play ARAMs.

Yeah, assassins can be kinda difficult. I've only played Talon a few times, but he's one of the easier ones imo. He just isn't that fun to play for me tho, so I've never been interested in buying him

I was considering doing that, but I got Dr. Mundo, and I just dislike the champion too much to main him :c

Mundo's not bad. I bought him like a week and a half ago, and he's kinda hard to get down at first, but after you get used to him he's really good. The only problem I have with him is that he's a tank and I suck with tanks, and I like being able to quickly kill

He's an ok champion, but top is pretty much my least favorite role and I try to avoid it whenever I can. He can also be played jungle, (and I've seen him played as a support,) but there are just so many other champions I would much rather play.

Yeah lol I feel. I like top, I just hate the chances of me having to go against Nasus or Cho'gath, because they're my weaknesses. Especially as Tryndamere, who I main

I've played him as support before and I didn't like it at all. Mostly because support is my least favorite role. Maybe I just don't know how to supp as him. I mean, I pretty much just throw cleavers at the enemy, which is what I always do, but idk, I like him top. I've never tried him jg, but I kinda want to. I'm scared it's gonna suck tho, because I'm not sure if he's one of those champions, like Ekko or Fiddlesticks, that CAN jungle but I can't do it for shit

Yeah, I like the idea of top, being an unkillable tank / a champion that can deal a ton of damage and still take next to none, or being able to splitpush to the enemy inhibitor. The problem is, it seems like whatever champion I play, the other person ends up being twice and tanky and also does twice as much damage as me. There's also Nasus, who I'm never good at denying stacks from.

Oh well, I'll probably try him in the jungle.

Nice. Zed's great. I've had him for a couple months, too, and he's also kinda hard to learn, but great once you get the hang of him

I thought they fixed those? It's working for me now, and it seems to be working for everyone else. Or are you having different connection issues besides what everyone else was having?

Started about the same time so no idea if they're connected. Some people are getting stupidly slow loading, and constant disconnects when trying to laod into games, if they manage TO load into a match.

Damn... I just got out of a game that in the middle of it, my ping shot up to 500 and it stayed there trying to reconnect for like 3 minutes until I just closed the game and tried to reconnect, but even after that it kept saying I was disconnected from the server and I had to go into task manager and end the process before I could join back. So idk what the problem is, but I hope Riot fixes this soon

I submitted a ticket with just about every log I could get (read about 30 different things) so hopefully they can figure out whats going on.
