Will the option to edit rune pages in champ select ever be a thing?

So, as someone who focuses more on saving up for champions and runes themselves (with IP because I'm poor), I have never bought a rune page, and it kinda sucks only having two because I have two options. Also the two default rune pages I have are one for AP and one for AD, which is probably what most people do. But I've bought a load of runes in the time I've had my account, and I change them for different champions that I PLAN on playing. So if I don't get to play the champion I was planning on playing, some of my runes are wrong, and that affects my game a bit

I've heard talk about Riot developing a new champion select and a new client altogether, and I'm wondering if that's true, will editing rune pages in champ select be a possibility?

Short Answer: No.

What you just described is exactly what Riot intended, that's why extra rune pages are so expensive so you would buy them with RP.

I kinda hope they just scrap the rune system eventually and just give us a point system to allocate towards various stats. I'd also like to see pre-set 30 mastery pages for pre-30 players that are unlocked for customization at lvl 30. Make the runes for pre-30's pre-set as well; gating new players out of runes and masteries makes this hard harder to learn than it needs to be.

They won't do this because rune pages = $$$
