I think I might have to quit league

But not because it is stupid and not fun anymore. I might have to quit league because it is too fun.

League starts to become a priority over other things in your life, so in your free time you start to go to league instead of going to the gym or studying for school. League is so addicting and interactive that you sit down intending to play 1 game and get up 3 or 4 games later. 3-4 games, how long is that like 2-3 hours? That's a lot of time. A time commitment some people just don't have.

League starts to make a physical impact on you too, you spend those 2-3 hours on league and then that means you have to spend 2-3 less hours sleeping, you wake up the next day exhausted and maybe have to skip out on something you've been wanting to do for a while and sleep more.

Simply put, people who say league isn't fun are bullshitting themselves and bullshitting everyone else. The problem with League isn't balance, and although there may be some champions who are stronger then others at certain times in the game. League is generally balanced, considering the fact that if any champion gets fed they are going to do well. The problem with league is not that it isn't fun anymore, if League wasn't fun then they wouldn't care so much to post something about "I'm quitting league" "League sucks now" "Blah blah blah" They would just quit.

The problem with league is how it pulls you in, so if you play one game and lose, you can't quit you can't end on a loss, that feeling sucks! And you gotta get that win of the day oh boy free IP! And if you end on a win you have that feeling where you are on your game, another one, that felt so good let me do that again. At least when I am playing I almost never stop playing league because I am getting bored of the game, I stop playing because I get hungry or start to feel bad about my self-esteem for sitting there for 5 hours playing some video game and actually enjoying doing the same thing for that long.

This could be just me, but for me to continue playing this game, we need options. Something that can be very quick but also enjoyable. Something that I feel comfortable quitting for the day on. Something that doesn't make me ask myself "Where did the day go?" I love this game, and am glad I started playing it, but something needs to change so that I don't spend my entire life on it. That something I do not know what it is but would gladly take suggestions on.

Even If you quit, you'll be back, my sister's boyfriend has tried quitting at least 7 times, the call is that strong...

Addiction is all mental, It's not like you are injecting League into your veins or smoking it lmao, if you want to limit yourself, just do it, remember what your real priorities are.

If you want just a quick match, play aram, its casual, fast, and most of the times fun, average match length 15-20 minutes, maybe play a match or 2 of that, and then get back to your homework.

OH!, REWARD yourself, FINISH YOUR HOME WORK, or finish that pile of paper work for your job you've been putting off, THEN play league. It's self control man, just like with anything in life, too much of a good thing can be a bad thing, limit yourself and remember what the true priorities of your life are.
