Plus, it's not like they're taking existing skins and making them exclusive. Plus, it's their absolute right as a company to make their merchandise available as they wish. You don't have to get these skins or participate in Hextech Crafting, but it is great incentive to do so.
If you wish to discuss exclusivity, why are you complaining about Hextech Crafting and not the PAX skins, the Riot Skins, the bundle Skins, the Victorious Skins, or any other skin locked in the vault?
Nobody said they're done discussing it internally. It's still just on the PBE, so there's hope (even if slim) it could change.
When they released hextech crafting, they said up front they had plans to do this. I've got no issue with skins being locked behind hextech crafting when we were told months ago they had plans to use the rare gems for something like this.
