League isn't really the same game I signed up for anymore.

The current client, while it has been updated a little bit holds so much memories, it looks so nice and has a real feel to it but it's going to be going, recently I've felt like League has been throwing away everything which has made it unique, everything i originally joined for, it's updating it's client to the likes of Blizzard, the lore has been receiving massive overhauls, there have been so many reworks, so many new items, so many splash updates, changes to queues, removal of Dominion....

You could argue it still has the same gameplay, you wouldn't be wrong but for me it feels like every other thing that made league league is being taken away or changed, there's no option on what you want to use... Changes are being shoved down our throats...

This isn't a "I'm going to quit" post but it's just really sad, I don't play league near as much as I used to ( And that's probably a good thing).

Now I know you guys are sick of seeing these posts but I'm sure some people will share the same thoughts...

Don't you guys just feel like you're playing almost a different game? Sigh... I wish we had choices on what to update with certain things...

Oh well.

Personally, i hate the new league changes, a lot, and hate is a strong word, when i saw dynamic queue being implemented, and team builder being thrown out, i knew it was only going downhill from there, me and my GF don't even get to lane with each other now, we loved to ADC and Support for eachother, and now we can't, no one ever wants to give up their role, EVER, so the whole "just ask to role swap" thing doesn't work.

I feel like Riot is not good at releasing such big updates so fast, they never think it through all the way, and then they just have to stick with it and make it tolerable. Dynamic queue is just that, a great idea, that failed, but they are stuck with it and have to make it tolerable for everyone.

I personally hate it, i can't lane with my GF 90% of the time, i hardly ever get my role i want when i solo queue, i am always against premades of 3 on voice chat. dynamic queue feels incomplete, it was not ready, and they forced it upon us. The only people that like it, are the ones who suck Riots balls on every decision they make, EVEN THOUGH IT LITERALLY DOES NOTHING FOR THEM. You think you get brownie points for sucking up? No, You don't, you might as well get your own fucking opinion people and wake up.

Lets compare 2 things right now, Team Builder V.S. Dynamic Queue.
Team Builder- 100% chance on the lane you want/role, and 100% on the champ you want to play. Queue times depending on your role about 1-10 minutes ( no longer than your average WoW Queue, or even Challenger queue, actually, way shorter than a challenger queue). If you wanted to practice a certain champ, you could, a certain role, you could, a certain lane, you could. Want to guarantee lane with your friend or gf/bf you could.

Dynamic Queue- 50/50% chance on the lane/role you want, with certain problems such as if you pick something as main, and support is your off, you will always get support no matter what. Queue times are completely random, blind pick is pretty fast, but you have to rely on people not auto locking what you wanted, which 99% of the time, someone does. Normal draft goes from anywhere of about 2 minutes to even 10 minutes just like team builder did, and ranked is even worse depending on your rank. Gold or higher suffer at least a 5 minute queue or higher, and anything above that, expect 10 minutes or more for a match. Especially challengers, they have 30 minute queues. Dynamic queue also puts any solo queue player against premades, because that's how the system works. Without solo queue players, there would be no dynamic queue, so solo queue players get the rough end of the stick and basically a big fuck you from Riot.

That's just a hand full of problems of dynamic queue, i could go on an on, but in short, i don't like the new changes at all, there is more bad than good, iv'e had countless friends quit the game and refuse to come back until dynamic queue is gone, i'll ask them to play and they'll just go "is dynamic queue gone?" What's worse is my GF won't even play summoners now, because we can't get the same lane together which is the whole reason she even played the game in the first place. That breaks my fucking heart, we loved doing that, and now we can't because of shitty dynamic queue. Aram for days.... It's the only mode we are guaranteed to get the same lane together....

I signed up for League to play with friends and stayed because of Dominion. Now Dominion's gone, and I still only play SR because of friends. So in a sense, League's still the same, yet noticeably different.

Right there with you.

Been playing on and off since S1 and really enjoyed learning all the mechanical and strategic aspects. Never been much of a gamer, but old League was certainly the most fun I've ever gotten out of a video game. There was always something to learn and improve.

The entire attitude of both Riot and the player base, as it has seen such massive expansion, has shifted a great deal. I don't think I had ever encountered the term "its just a norm" til S3/4. It used to be a big deal if someone went afk in your game. Now people afk to do chores, kids, facebook, whatever, no biggie.

To go with that we've lost a lot of the strategy around vision and map control through trinkets/ward limits and global timers. Champs are trading out good design and mechanics for loud, flashy, game breaking abilities. And DQ is just toxic, to employ a popular word on these forums. Both the individual game experience and the loss of competitive ladders.

If it was the same game I signed up for...

I'd still be playing Kog'maw mid with the fatty malady/razor rush.
