The Community
Someone brought up something in this thread which is actually a really good point. And it wasn't me. He said
Is harassment really worse than trolling though? I'd rather have a bunch of competent teammates even if they rage and cuss. At least they are trying and not trolling. I never understood why ragers and pessimistic players get a worse rep than trolls and afks. I mean at least they are playing the game and not actively trying to screw their team over.
I think we've found a fundamental problem with our community. For some reason ragers and "negative players" get off much worse than trolls. Why? These "ragers" often offer criticism, which, while hurtful to ritos sensitive fanbase, can actually make you better, and they actually play the game and don't inhibit you from winning the game. Trolls and afks actually contribute nothing to the game, and make it much worse, and give you a 10% win rate, or something like that. Can someone bring up a statistic for how often people with a "negative" or "toxic" player on their team win the game, because i bet its higher than 10%. Why do we hate the people who actually play the game and enjoy it, albeit in a way that most others don't, much more than the people who don't play the game and enjoy it in a way that makes other people hate it. At least for the ragers you can mute them. The trolls and afks though, they can't be stopped in game. And that would be ok, but you don't stop them out of game either. You don't say, "well, this guy said in chat, 'lol, gonna feed', then went 0/21/2 as whoever, better ban him". You say "This guy said 'fuck' and 'you suck' to another player. Holy hell this guy is gonna ruin the game." You let the people who troll really hard and afk off with something like "well, maybe they just had a bad game/day" and you hit the ragers and "negative players" with bans, when in reality it should be very much the opposite.
This got taken down in feedback. I was told it would fit here.
