Question About Pick Order

I am curious if anyone knows the answer to this question: Is pick order (as in what pick placement you are put in) still random?

I only ask because it seems anything but random for me, and I don't know if I just have terrible luck. I noticed an awkward pattern of last pick the past few weeks quite often, so I started keeping track the past few days. Over the span of 10 games, I have been last pick 7 of those games (would have been 8 if someone hadn't dodged in the second game).

This seems very strange, as I was of the belief it is supposed to be random, yet I am getting it at least 70% of my games.
