Does anyone know when the S6 update is gonna be released?

Sorry for the noob question, but I've only been playing LoL for like a year and a half, or somewhere around that, and I've never transitioned in between seasons, or at least never paid attention

Does it get updated right when Season 6 officially starts, or does it come sooner? And does anyone know exactly when that would be?

I'm just curious because I'm somewhat excited to see what it's gonna be like, and I could take it better if I knew exactly when it'd be updated

the update is this wednesday the servers will close down at 3 am for them to start the update and they said it should last for at max 3 hours

This wednesday will be the start of preseason 6. Season 6 will start in a couple months (probably, the official start date hasn't been announced yet, as far as i know).
