ok so you reach diamond then what?

look im all for having fun and doing things you enjoy but when you do nothing else and your mom is willing to pay you to stop playing maybe there need to be a look at balance in your life.

200$ to stop playing league is nothing unless you badly need money. You don't have to stop playing, just get some more hobbies. Walk, bike, exercise, see friends.

What kind of mom do you have that is willing to pay you to stop playing things online?

Man, the older generation is really stupid.... "Your not doing countless drugs and listening to bad music while drinking at the lake in the 80's like i did, so there for your not doing anything with your life".

Or "you don't have a shitty job like me? Well your doing it wrong then! you have to suffer as much as i did!".

Now if you are spending 24 hours a day on LoL, and not doing anything with that time like streaming/ video making, then you should probably rethink some priorities. Me personally if i had that kind of time, i would make content and see what happens with it just because it's fun to do.

If you commit that much time to LoL, then do something with it, take it one step further. She can't say anything if you make something out of it.

Take the 200, close the account, open a new account, spend 200 on skins and such. Win, win through loop holes.

But in all seriousness, I'd take the money league is basically cigarettes in terms of addictiveness.

if you are 17 years old , why don't you use lol to make some money on twitch?

It doesn't sound like she wants you to stop gaming because it's "immature" or anything like that. It sounds like you spend way too much time on League. I love League as much as the next guy, but you HAVE to find a balance between League (or any gaming for that matter) and your real life. Don't get sucked into just playing all day everyday. Once in a while is okay but not all the time. Go outside, hang out with friends, enjoy other hobbies, but most importantly spend time with your family. It's not like you're getting paid to play, so don't get into the mentality that you need to hit that high elo. Don't accept that $200. Instead offer to cut back on your play time. Set a time limit (or amount of matches) per day no matter what. I also don't know how old you are, but don't give your parents a reason to skip the $200 offer and go to taking away your gaming privileges. Family first, everything else comes after.

But what will being diamond do for you other than being able to say you are diamond? I mean, you don't really stand to make money off of it. $200 is $200, ya know?

How old are you? How soon before you go off to college/don't live with your mom anymore?

Like legit, she could just FORCE you off of league in her house (I know parents who change the wifi password everyday and put time limits on how long their teens can use the internet each night), but she's offering to give you money. Take the cash, honor her wishes while you're under her roof. League isn't going anywhere, you can always come back to it once you don't live with her.

Also there are plenty of other games. And it's probably healthy for you to take a break anyway if you're spending so much time online that she is worried and desperate enough to bribe you.

not worth

reason being if its your primary method of enjoying your free time. then taking that away from you will only starve yourself unless you havent something equal to or similar to as a replacement.

back when i was playing like 10+ games a day on league imo it wouldn't be worth.
