Ranked Just Isn't Fun Anymore

I know I'm going to get some hate from those tired of hearing about ranked complaining, but this isn't just another "I want solo queue" thread.

Sure, Dynamic Queue sucks for me personally (not speaking for everyone else and saying "everyone hates it"), but it isn't even just that.

People act as if losing a game will make their arms fall off, and down 52-3 (exaggeration obviously) and still refuse surrendering because it is ranked, but will still troll and rage in chat. I've seen 4 afks in the last two days (3 of the 4 not on my team, still frustrating to see), and intentional feeder who only stopped feeding because we stopped killing him (still dying to towers). Premades raging at anyone who isn't their premade. People playing champs in ranked they have no business playing past bots (I'm not insulting, I'm being serious. Playing champs they even say after the game they didn't know how to play). Balance is actually the least of my worries this season in ranked, because the players have become worse and found more ways to troll than simply being verbally annoying, and premades are toxic as all hell at least 50% of the time.

I'm ranting a bit yes, and no I'm not salty because I just got out of a losing game (Actually just won the game), but it was one with an afk and a troll on the enemy team and it just ruined the fun of the game completely. I'm starting to get to the point I log in, want to play ranked, then I just have to talk myself into it because it feels like I "should" more than I want to lately.

So like...

People have become super tryhard in league even in norms(not even ranked games).

All they do is talk shit in all, spam those stupid ass question marks "?", and act like little dipshit kids.

No more random conversation or anything interesting to say, just little shit talking neurotic freakouts about the game and how things are going bad or someone took your kill, etc.

It's really depressing.

Just played another game with a support who was trolling because he didn't like our adc (I don't know why, was complaining about it from the start of the game) and a toxic duo with a jungler who refused to gank anything but top except to come towerdive and give my mid a kill because I asked if he could help mid cause they had no flash, so he decided to intentionally feed a kill then said "ask me to gank again pussy".

I just don't get it. What happened to this game? Ranked has turned into a cesspool of trolls and raging premades. What happened to how much lower toxicity has supposedly been so said Lyte.

Seems it has gotten worse, and Dynamic Queue has made it 10 times worse, and now he just got off the ship. He has to know his stats were full of crap, and Dynamic Queue was terrible (he was the lead on it).

I've noticed a spike in recent games (around the last 20) of afks on either if not both teams, combined with as you say, people picking champions they have no business playing in ranked. An afk on my team doesn't let me see what my improving skills provide for the team, since teamfights are 4v5... If the enemy has an afk instead, I'm seeing a false reflection of what I'm learning and applying with 20% difficulty of success automatically applied to to an enemy afk. If BOTH of us have an afk, it just depends on who afk'd and which team received the afk first to see teamfight success plummet to consistent failures. I know you're supposed to grind to climb, but why do we gotta deal with all these afks ruining both sides of our games?

I've noticed trolls a lot more in ranked. I've had some free time and decided to spam ranked past few days. But, literally every 3 games, 1 afk in the game. People angry over picks or angry at match ups I had a darius fight a teemo top, after he gave first blood he told us to fuck off after the jungler didn't want to gank right at lvl 3.. So he ran to every lane passing free kills. And every game there is a troll. Minute 1 thing doesn't go their way they want to give up. I did a rank game my most recent where we were ahead entire time. But, corki died and wasn't carrying and insisted the game was over for god knows why. And kept trying to surrender every time he could.. then he went afk and eventually came back but my god.. I dread ranked. I understand we all have bad games so feeding I understand sometimes it happens. But, the trolling man.. My report finger hurts

The worst part is 90% of the community doesn't even know what "trolling" is or "intentional feeding"

intentional feeding is when a player simply walks into the enemy and dies without even doing anything, Just cuz a leblanc is snowballing and burst you 100-0 under tower doesnt qualify as intentional feeding. Sometimes players dont play safe enough and get bursted in their safe zone

split pushing bot lane and taking many turrets when the enemy is taking inhib isnt trolling either, its simply making the loss less impactful. because 1 or 2 people wont stop a 5 man seige on a turret, especially a melee jungler with no ranged waveclear or cc. Now if they are going for game and you are splitting it could be seen as a troll but honestly you were gonna lose that game anyways.

Building out of meta items isnt troll either.

Trolling is when players sell all their items and buy item 3070 and just run around the map without a purpose other than to play a game of tag. trolling is getting angry that your jungler was banned so you pick teemo and farm minions in the persons lane. Trolling is last hitting the junglers camps. trolling is playing bard and ulting your teammate who is trying to escape (though it could be a honest mistake, but Bards can troll like no other)

Hey man, I'm sorry that sounds like a really lame time.

I started playing in season 2 and even though I was never good, I always enjoyed playing and was at least confident in my ability to impact games at my level of play. I stopped playing at the end of season 3 and came back this March. I always feel super nervous queuing even normals (I don't play ranked at all) whenever I'm not with friends. It seems like it's just not as fun anymore, I'm not sure why.

Same convo different season... I remember running into the absolute worst of the worst people 2 or 3 years ago at this point. Was trying to get gold right before the season ended and was in S1, ran into several groups back to back that had Gold V people in them who decided and LITERALLY SAID "LOL %%%%%S I GOT GOLD ALREADY SO I'M GOING TO MAKE SURE YOU ALL LOSE SO YOU CAN'T GET GOLD BECAUSE FUCK YOU" and that was probably the NICEST thing this LB who fed about 20 kills said. I swear too much and this person made me even look at their text and say daaaaamn, ease back on that shit. But, the nice part is that after those few games, and that LB in particular, I have a very solid baseline for "Absolute retched shit" and so haven't been too upset with the community lately. But it does seem to be getting more passive aggressive with ? pings, and less "pure flame".
