I want to know 2 things

Your general personality type (think Myers-Briggs), go here if you don't know what type you are.

and then your favorite champion and why.

I'll go first. I am the spitting image of an INTP personality, 'dreamy professor'. The kind of guy who gets lost in his own head long before he gets lost in a building.

They are not that concerned with the real world and practical things; from the INTP’s perspective, it is often less exciting than ideas and intellectual pursuits. People with this personality type have no difficulties noticing patterns where others cannot, which makes them brilliant theorists and analysts. Source

And yet my favorite Champ is Renekton, someone who both in gameplay and lore is one of the most impulsive champions in the game. I find that interesting.

Edit: Wow, this got a lot of participation! Thanks guys! I have been told I didn't mention why I love Renekton. Well, I have to say his kit versatility is a major factor, but I think the biggest reason is sheer presence. He can turn and go ape-shit on your face at any time if his ult is on you, and that can develop into a healthy fear of being near him. So intimidation factor I guess XD

Anybody else want to give it a go?

Now I'll be the first to say that I haven't been able to reply to all of these replies, and for that I'm sorry. But that doesn't mean I'm not interested in where you land! I have read all of these and will continue to do so, but I can't promise a reply back. But, I will return to this subject soon! I'll be messing around with survey tools to try to get some statistics going, and hell, maybe even make something out of it if I decide to get back into programming. Keep an eye out for it!

This exact thread shows up about once year on GD and it's interesting to note that almost every Riot employee is extroverted but most of the player base is introverted.

For example, I'm INTJ but I do not think I could give a clear answer to which hero is my favorite. I did notice that all of my favorites come from season 1.

Vladimir was my first love. The sustain, wave clear, great escape tool, and an insane late game. He's got (had) it all.

Udyr I've always loved because you have a near infinite number of builds. AD Tiger, AP Phoenix, tiger/phoenix bruiser, pure tank, on-hit effects, split pusher, proxy farming, utility etc.

Gangplank I love pirates. Some people like ninjas, samurais, or knights, but it's a pirate's life for me. GP is the quintessential pirate and has most of the stereotypes. He's possibly the most powerful champion in the game at level 1 and I've cheesed many an ignorant top laner with him.

Singed is the hero I would probably pick as my all time favorite. If I had to refund all my heroes except one, Singed would more than likely be the one I would keep. I've had the most fun in this game trolling around on Singed. Flinging people into towers, no need to last hit when you have poison, triple lane proxy farming in the enemy base etc. So much to love.

ISTP and Favorite would be Syndra. Other's I like are Anivia, Ahri, Nidalee, Irelia, Riven, and Zed.

Favorite champ is prob lissandra or akali. I really love bursty ap champs( and imo, liss has more burst than good cc)

Fizz overall, Rengar for kit, and Viktor for lore. Honorable mention to Kassadin.

ISTJ (though I disagree about the last point in the description). My favorite champ is Ashe, though I miss her old voice and lore. I used to play Drow Ranger on the old DotA maps and she's very similar. I also find her kit very good for training most general player skills that can be transferred to other champs.

I am also very fond of Lux (lasers) and Sona (music).

INTP - Maokai

His quote is awesome : "To defy the natural order has consequences".
He's extremely hard to kill.
He has a lot of CC and Utility for his team.
His damage is quite high for a tank.
I'm obsessed with the fantasy of "living" forests and trees, even more so than with dragons or other awesome mystical beings.

INFJ (what an odd trait) My champion picks are Karma, Leona, Soraka, and Morgana ,Usually supporting. But if I have to pick up another role I usually just go with either Morgana or Karma because of how flexible they are with roles.

ISTJ, favorite champion is Ezreal. And for the sake of additional information, favorite role is Jungler, best role overall is Jungler, and my best role overall mechanically is ADC.

Interesting idea! (You didn't mention why Renekton is your favorite! :P)

I'm usually placed as INTP or INFP whenever I take the test. It's hard to pick a favorite champion, I'll try to decide on gameplay and lore, like you, but can I pick a few?

Karma She's my main Mid right now, I think she's a ton of fun to play, plus her lore and theme make her seem like a very smart and powerful woman. I would vote her for President.

Jinx Love at first sight? Love her kit and her unhinged personality, though probably be a little scared of meeting her in person, since she'd probably kill me, lol.

Riven Also a ton of fun to play, even if I suck with her, lol. Also heard she's inspired by Soujiro Seta from Rurouni Kenshin, one of my favorite characters in my favorite anime. Also Redeemed Riven is the best skin in the game.

Yasuo Very similar to why I like Riven (funny since they're rivals). Likewise fun to play, again even if I suck, lol. Also his lore reminded me a lot of Jin from Samurai Champloo, another favorite character in another favorite anime, lol. Did I mention I like samurai/japanese swordsmen?

Breakdown of preferences: Mind - Extraverted (18%), Energy - Observant (15%), Nature - Feeling (34%), Tactics - Judging (4%), Identity - Turbulent (5%).

My favorite champ would be either Janna or Miss Fortune. If I had to choose between the two, I'd probably have to go with Janna. Kinda funny as I've never considered myself "Nature-feeling" and despite Janna being very in tuned with Nature, she was also a trouble maker. There's one thing we have in common at least :-P That and we're both incredibly good looking.

I'm appariently ISTP? I may want to take it again (Although I know the nails on the head for the Introverted part.)

Some of my favorite champions are (And I don't have a specific list): Rumble Rumble, Lulu Lulu, and I guess Vi would qualify for the third spot (if I was not terrible at jungling).

And I used to really like playing Evelynn Evelynn, although I haven't in a while outside of ARAMs. Might have to change that in the future.

Any correlation there, you think?

IFSP and Cho'gath is my favorite champ cause i like being playing a monster (vel'koz is a close second) :D
