Serious Discussion: Is League of Legends based off of skill or luck?
I've been playing this game for a while now. I've been thinking a lot more about this game now that i had lost my promos to S4 twice last week, and now being in B2. This has really had me thinking: Is this game based off of skill or luck? I mean... I try my best, i am a utility jungler. I let my teammates get the kills and i build utility items to help the team. So, i had some positive results because i reached my promos to S4, which was rather impressive for me. But then, I went on a losing streak because i was having frequent AFK's, adcs that refuse to build items, and if they do, they build a full inventory of
, and just straight up feeders. So i began asking myself, that maybe i can't rank up not because im unskillful, but rather** unlucky**. As in, I'm either placed on a team that works well, and can work together to win, or i am placed on a team that cannot pull it together. You either get placed with a group of people who are better than you or worse than you.. I know that people in higher elos are bound to say "youre in bronze, so you deserve to be there" but i don't think you guys understand how hard it is to climb in low elos. Most of us actually want to climb, but there are an abundance of trolls and frequent afkers in almost every game. The game is so heavy on teamwork that it is almost impossible to win a 4 v 5 in this division, which happens so very often. As of right now, i think i've accepted my place this season. I will end in bronze 2, but i hope to climb in season 6. So what do you think? Is this game based on skill or luck?
