The Downside Of "Remake" - An unpopular perspective

I just want to start off saying that no, this isn't supposed to be a rant, and yes, I do understand if you don't agree with my opinion 100%.

Anyways,

I just lost 20 LP for a remake. I have a key on my mouse that automatically shuts down the window that is open, and while I was in loading screen, about to connect, my dumb ass put my hand on my mouse. I really should take it off, but I digress.

So I reconnected to the game, it was only 3:00 in. The enemy top laner was a level 3 Swain, who was about to push in a large wave, so I TP'd up as fast as I could, typed to my team that I was sorry, and that I crashed (it was easier than explaining the whole scenario), and proceeded to do absolutely nothing. The remake vote was up, and I was the only one who voted no, because my bot lane fed a 2 minute first blood, and wanted a restart. I could have hit level 3 off of that wave, and had an even lane again.

Now, I would just kick myself for losing that 20LP because I accidentally clicked a button. Shit, my bad. But this has happened to me before, in an instance where my game actually crashed (the client told me that I couldn't connect to the servers), and as soon as I connected, the game was remade. Why do I have to suffer, solely because my team got fed up with giving an early kill. I could have easily caught up in both instances, just played safe, but they misplayed and it costed me 20 LP.

The worst part of this experience has been the Low Priority Queues. I now have 5, due to these games, as well as another common occurrence: Often, in queue or after games, my client will "crash" and say that I lost connection to the servers. I have tried repairing, and reinstalling the client, and my other computers are fine (so it isn't my internet). I'm not entirely sure what to do about it, and it will often result in my queue not popping, even when it pops for everyone else in my premade. When this happens enough, the system decides that I must be intentionally wasting other people's time, so it should hand me a Leaverbuster.

Long story short, I think the Remake function is awesome, but as a person in a remade game, it feels like a waste of 15 minutes to get into a game that is disbanded directly after, having gained nothing (maybe put in like a 3 LP gain or something for everyone except the leaver?).

And as the so-called "leaver", it feels awful to have your game crash, or your own stupid misclick cost you a full game's LP. Perhaps the leaver LP loss should be lowered to half a regular game's loss, considering a vast majority of player AFK's aren't AFK's at all, just people who's clients crashed.

Just my 2 cents.

Please just rebind your key. There cannot be any real reason to have that, and it can be hit at any time in your match, causing a disadvantage for your team.

The /remake feature is to help reduce the amount of damage players with personal issues do to everyone else. You lost 20 LP instead of everyone on your team losing it over the disadvantage you gave them. Think about the problems you're causing everyone else. If the penalty was less than a normal loss, then players would be able to abuse it to get out of full losses they think they were going to get anyway.

I have a key on my mouse that automatically shuts down the window that is open. It's not a difficult button to misclick.

for what reason?
