Basically, here's my question:
If someone received a punishment now, like a chat restriction, will that mean they are repent for their sins or will their toxic games be re-inputted into Tribunal when it comes back up?
It probably won't come back up.
I'd highly enjoy this, if and when the tribunal system ever returns.
Why? Toxicity would be back to actually warranting IP bans in extreme cases.
I don't think it's likely. The old games will affect the system's 'rating' of you, but it would probably find new games around which to actually form a case.
A riot response would be lovely
My expectation is that the report system will build new cases based on reports since the last sanction on the account. That's basically how it worked previously, anyway.
There may be some niche cases where some overlap occurs due to strange timing, but I imagine they would be few and far between, and certainly easily handled manually.
