Can we get away from the practice of saying gg after every game?

I mean, some games just aren't good games.

Good sportsmanship is looking your opponent in the eye and shaking his hand, even after he's beaten you so badly you walk with a limp for the rest of your life. If you can't be a man about a win or a loss, you deserve every bad thing that happens to you in life.

i agree. i also think we should stop shaking hands after sports games in real life and we should stop giving kids trophies when they lose too

It's a manner of showing respect for your opponent. It's prevalent in all competitive sports.

I'm sure at least one play was made each game that a player considers Good for their skill level. I've said ggwp as adc when top and mid both fed ridiculously and I was dominating bot Lane and the enemy top says something like "wp? Lol". This attitude is just rude. Both the top laner and mid laner said they were first time on that champ before the match. Somehow the other team had 4 level 30s and my team 0 (I am 29), and mid and top both had a few hundred Games on anyone else on the map (myself included).

Players tried and no one trolled / raged / afk'd. Once we grouped at our inhibitors and I was there to help protect them (weird since i was adc but w/e) we were able to easily defend the inhibitors and no one died. We lost because we surrendered because it was normals and I couldn't bother defending for 25 min more before they either won our threw, but frankly our team was decent at defending and they weren't going to be winning any time soon. So in my view there were positives to look at, and it was a good game and well played, even if mid fed 9 kills and top fed 7 (and I got 4/1/3 , support 0/1/5, jungle 5/5/?).

I have fun in every game, so to me every game IS a good game.

Sportsmanship is being able to perceive the game in ways beyond your own viewpoint. What appears to be a bad game to you is most likely a very good game for your opponent. And that is what you are saying when you say GG, even when you played poorly or your team played poorly.

I do agree that some games are bad for both teams (like if there is an AFK) but you can still say GG in a friendly manner. It's about mutual respect.

its good sportsmanship, teams across nearly every sport worldwide shake hands or show some mutual respect after a game, regardless of whether they win or lose. dont be a sore loser/winner, just say GG.

who cares if other people say it, I'm not going to and you don't need to either. I've been playing since S1 and I've only said "gg" once but only because I added "(get good)" at the end of it after stomping a team with an AFKer.
