To all you ADC out there, Don't blame your support if you go somewhere they can't follow :(

I was on smurf playing some ranked games. Got Last pick, happily took blitz to support an Ezreal.

And this happened:

I flash grabbed the enemy Cait. Her sona flashed in to ult both me and Ez. Ez killed sona and Cait flashed out and E away with about 100 health left on her. I was low from the fight.

My dear ADC Ezreal, decided to chase her into tower.

Ezreal FLASHED and E to get to Cait, who was under tower. Missed his Q AND W, decided to keep chasing.

And died without killing Cait. Then Cait Ult me who was already low from the fight, and got a double kill.

Ezreal then proceed to talk smack all game for not following him....

Little did he know that I really want to follow, but Blitz can't follow an Ez if he decided to flash and E :(

I've had people run out of my range when playing Soraka and then yell at me for not healing them when they get bursted.

This is why sion support needs to be more of a thing. They're running? LOLNO ULT TIME!

Playing Braum

My adc (Miss fortune) chases their Caitlyn into the Jungle after we kill her sona

I try my best to follow, but Braum is slow, he can only jump so far, and fortune has strut so she gets away fast

Their ADC wrecks her

BUT THAT WAS MY FAULT RIGHT?? I couldn't chase to the other side of the map

Some people have no respect for their loyal supports...

I try not to do this, but I do get carried away sometimes. "Just one more auto!" turret shot dead

On a similar note, support mains should realize that just because their stun is off cooldown doesn't mean they should run to the edge of my auto-attack range to stun someone at the edge of their stun range beyond it. Most people are pretty good about it, but every now and then I run into hyper-aggressive supports that try to engage with absolutely nobody around to follow up - then blame me for not following through with their "plays."

That and Blitzcranks that grab enemy tanks when we don't have the damage to kill them. Ham Blitzcrank sees an easy target, but enemy Leona sees a free ride to the squishy ADC behind him.

This occasionally works the other way around too, when I play ADC I've seen supports flash under turret, die, and blame me for not going in with them. Why no, in fact, I don't think giving up 2 kills to maybe get one is better than chilling back here and CSing. And that will remain my opinion even if you rage at me for it.

Unless you're level 6+ with 100+ armor or an Ohmwrecker, you had better respect the turrets, and expect me to respect them too.

I've had so many ADC/Support relationship "issues" that I agree with those that label it an abusive relationship.

Heck, last night I played support 3 times and only one went very well from the start.

Game 1) I take Janna support, and end up with a Teemo as my "ADC." We faced a Jinx/Nautilus matchup. Teemo consistently misjudges Nautilus's range on his anchor and dies multiple times early as Jinx gets fed. We lose badly.

Game 2) I take Sona support with a Graves ADC. We faced an Ashe/Leona bot lane. Graves and I were on teamspeak together and ended up laughing at the situation as I went 10/2/28 and Graves went 28/6/14. The big issue was an Ashe who kept trying to trade after I had landed multiple Q attacks and a Leona who would use her Q to pull herself out of Ashe's auto-attack range and right next to both Graves and me. I have to admit it was a lot of fun for our side, but the other side's mid and top laner both got extremely "salty" about how their bot lane fed.

Game 3) I go Sona support again, but this time I'm stuck with another Teemo ADC. We faced a Caitlyn/Lulu combo. Teemo wasn't great, but he avoided dying. The bigger surprise was that the other team stayed in lane far too long. I just missed getting first blood when I noticed Caitlyn was down to less than 200 health so I flashed to her and hit Q (our midlaner died just before I got Caitlyn). I'd use that 2 more times, once only getting her to flash, and getting a second kill later. It was clearly a case of bad synergy for the other team. Once time Caitlyn returned to lane and Lulu immediately used her ult on Caitlyn. I responded by hitting my exhaust on Caitlyn and then Teemo and I proceeded to tear in Caitlyn right in range of our turret.

3 games, and in all 3 the bot lane was decided mostly on the synergy between the ADC and the Support. I've had other games recently that played out the same. One time I had a Sivir ADC who refused to trade and often retreated behind our turret after using her Q and W to partially clear a wave. We got bullied out of lane as I screamed at my computer screen cause there was little I could do to win the 1v2 poke-fest that was occurring.

I've come to the conclusion that ADC and Support are probably the two toughest positions because you have to be able to mesh with someone you've probably never played with before. My game 2 from last night is a wonderful example. the Graves I was playing with prefers to play top, but when he first started playing Graves I supported him through several games. We know how each other plays and when you add in the advantage of communication you get with teamspeak/Skype/curse voice, we can easily dominate a lane since we know what the other is going to do and why. It allows for more aggressive play without it being needlessly risky.

Not sure why I posted this, except to point out that there will always be communication issues with ADC/Support and its never going to be perfect. Especially in games where you don't enter with a preformed team.

People seem to take how mobile they are for granted period. Just because THEY can travel that far that fast doesn't mean the rest of the team can. I've lost plenty of games because of asshats like that.

"GG, team never engages when I do"

First of all: Who made you shot caller? Second: Just because YOU can flash forward 5 times to catch the enemy team doesn't mean we can keep up while your dumbass gets blown up.

Situational Awareness folks... it's a good thing.

ya. i once had an adc flash over a wall while i was playing janna support and he dies to 3 people right away, well better flame janna

Spacesuit Spiff4/10/2015, 9:11:31 PM2 votes

Just saw a Sivir constantly use her ult to get into melee range of Udyr/Cho. Ofc that was everyone else's fault somehow.

Really it's not even a problem with adcs, it's just idiots who don't know the game well enough to know that their team can't save them from bad decisions. Or idiots who just want to blame everyone else for those bad decisions.

Laura ß4/10/2015, 10:53:59 PM2 votes

Sometimes its quite the opposite. Its 100% harder to find a good support than a good adc I cross my fingers every game so I get a good support.

Aw yes,Rule #2 of League - If you do something stupid,it's always someone else fault for not following you on your stupidity. It's totally not your fault for doing the stupid thing in the 1st place. Good old LOL community & it's magnificent set of rules.Where would we be without it?

jkandevan4/11/2015, 1:06:44 AM2 votes

instead of my adc chasing i chase them as blitz and get the kill on their fed adc and then I die to jungle and i get bitched at because i died shutting down their adc and dying.

This reminds me of a time where I played Garen and Blitzcrank pulled a Vayne out of the bush we were hiding in. Two other enemies in that bush including Blitzcrank. Vayne is ded. Not big surprise. After that, the Vayne got angry at me, and started absolutely berating me because I didn't pull off a miracle and save him. Sometimes, players just don't consider what other players bring to the table, and what they can pull off. Garen can't actually do anything in that situation even at full health, which is hilarious.

Players need to change.

oh boy, thats gonna leave a mark on his pretty little head

I don't know a lot about how to play but I'm pretty sure you don't dive a turret unless your sure you can survive alive

Virgin Ray4/11/2015, 5:55:15 AM1 votes

Why didn't he use his ult? It's a freaking global ability. Plus even if his ult was on cooldown he shouldn't have gone in anyway.

Sona Top Only4/11/2015, 4:36:49 PM1 votes

i wish people would realize that Sona 's heal cd ain't six seconds anymore. i can't spam it and heal the whole team like...c'mon now, i'm not Soraka .
