If you don't know the skill sets of a champion, please don't bring them into ranked games.....(rant)

So there I was, watching a ranked game from over the shoulder of my friend(he is in bronze). He was last pick and was left with the support role, which he gladly took.

His Adc was a Vayne, who apparently didn't know Vayne's W was a passive so kept saying he's lagging because he can't click W on target. The Vayne also thought her E was an instant stun like Taric's Dazzle and kept complaining about bugs. The Vayne also thought her Ult will allow her to be invisible FOR THE WHOLE DURATION OF IT and kept saying everywhere is pinked.

In end game screen(they obviously lost), Vayne said Rito fucked that game up with all the bugs and lags.....

I sat in awe and think I finally realized why some people are stuck in Bronze.....

I know what you mean, but honestly that is just the nature of the game, all a player really can do is do the best they can with the champion they selected. We can't control the skill level or situations that the other players have. The sad truth but I feel your pain especially since I'm a support main an this is encountered a lot, however I'm pretty sure adc's will say the same thing getting a bunch of supports that don't know what they are doing.

Yup... Kind of like i got a game with a mundo in it who built a tiamat... Rushed it i should also say... was being destroyed in lane but proceeded to rush that damage item... on ya know... mundo...

shrug- takes my 5 games to figure out how to fuck over or get fucked over by most champions.

Took me longer on pre rework kat and pre rework karma because their kits were so wierd on release. Fun but wierd when they came out. Eve wasn't hard but she was wierd as well. Her Q was always funky and targeted wierd shit for no reason in a fight, it still does. I've mained eve since her release.

before they removed stun on her I actually stictly played eve mid and jungle.

She wasn't banned that much in ranked, people hated shaco back then more honestly. everyone bitched about her stun though got her gutted. So i went back to only jungling her. Still jungle her to this day. Rework was ok I guess, i knew it was just an excuse to gut her some more. And here I am xD Q and E are terrible and R doesn't have base damage to kill a low hp with...lol

But I still play eve because nerfs and changes don't really stop me honestly on her.

I personally do it because I'm already extremely familiar from watching others, I'm a quick reader (Allows me to zoom on Wiki and read scaling real fast) and I play decent for first time rankeds.

If you don't know the skillset of all champs, probably shouldn't be in ranked. Doesn't help you have to own champ in this game but first thing I did when converting from dota was log PBE and play one game of each champ and learn their cooldowns, damage and ratios.

I honestly think lack of game knowledge is why half of all people lose their lane.

One solution to this is requiring a player to be at Level 2 mastery with the champ to be able to use it in ranked. I personally like that idea.

It doesn't happen with the extent of stupidity here in the post, but I do see plenty of people even in Platinum choose champions they have never played in ranked simply because somebody said "X champion is open, they're OP pick them" and then the listen to them.

I cannot stress this enough. PLAY WHAT YOU KNOW.

It doesn't matter if "X Champion is OP" to somebody in your lobby. Play what you know how to play, otherwise you are useless to your team.
