Riot, and new champions

So, now that we have a pool of 125 semi-unique champions, i think this is an issue that needs to be addressed. I LOVE seeing new champions, and i think that riot has come up with a lot of interesting champion designs (if CertainlyT's champs were not as op on release, he'd be my fav designer), but I've noticed a problem. The thing is, just new mechanics aren't going to do it. Let's take ekko - what is he but ap version of zed with less damage but a stun? I think that riot needs to take a bit to update the lore and make balance changes and thus take more time for champions that can have really unique concepts. Some ideas that have been mentioned that we don't have are: A champion that steals abilities A champion that is a true hybrid A champion that can truly morph terrain (this could be op AF, and it's kinda bard's things, but just an example) A pet oriented champion
a sort of mind control/trick champion (let's be real, LeBlanc isn't really this - shaco is kinda close) i really do think that riot is starting to run dry. Not by any fault of their own - other than the common theme of a bit too much mobility, they have had a lot of unique champions (tunneler, uncontrollable form changes, a champion that is there to literally block for you, etc etc), Anyway, just my thoughts, would love to see some rioters comment on this :)
